I'd buy the one shot but not the GenX. Can you read one issue without having to get the rest? I hate Claremont with a passion...

His old old stuff is okay, but anything recent has just bombed, at least for me. I don't even know why I am getting X-men Forever. It will probably suck even though Gambit will be in it.

Are you kidding Squeek? Claremont was awesome back in the day! He's even better than half of the Marvel writers right now!
And when does X-men Forever come out? Or is it available already?

I don't think CC is better then the writers of marvel these days. but if it was 20 years ago then ya if not better

I don't think he's better than all the writers, but he's defintely better than quite a few of them if you ask me. Example: Mike Carey.

The art looks so beautiful. Is it odd that i dont want to see dialogue bubbles mess up the pictures?
If the reviews are as good as the art then I'm definitely buying.

And when does X-men Forever come out? Or is it available already?

Next month I think. It hasn't come out yet. There's a Forever alpha coming out next week, but it has repeats in it -- X-men 1-4, I think, which is where Forever is supposed to jump off from. Forever is a retro tale, something I don't normally pick up, but I will this time because Gambit is in it.

Oh, and Claremont does suck. He ruined Exiles and New Excalibur.

I'm not complaining, I really want to buy this comic. But is there anything new in this story? Is Mike Carey going to finally reveal any biological ties between Remy and Sinister? (NO CLONING LIKE IN X-MEN :THE END!)

Carey is covering some new ground. very important stuff too that surprisingly has never been addressed. We're going to see him strike his initial deal with sinister, recruit Marauders, and see first-hand what happened in the Tunnels.

No revelations about his parentage, though.
