Yeah DP's wicked. Have you seen the behind the scenes of Hulk vs Wolverine with DP's voice actor? I can't wait to see that movie, I've already pre-ordered.

Though back to ol' Cajun himself. Hopefully the upcoming Legacy arc is lengthy enough and features more than a plateful of Gambit. That and I'm hoping on some word what Marvel will be doing with him soon after (hopefully).

I am curious about his role in the X-men Noir 2. That comes out on the 2nd. Hopefully he'll more than just a cameo in that, especially since he's got the fourth issue varient cover all to himself. :)

Still can't bring myself to read any of the Noir titles. Though it might have to do with limited funds as well as general dislike.

At four bucks a pop now for anything not a regular title, yeah, I get that. It's unfair what they charge now. :( Gotta make sure its something you really want.

I have aways like Gambit, epsically much more than Wolverine. Because Gambit is a Ladies Man. he can get any girl he want's, Leave her and yet she won't hate him. I aways love Gambit in the 90s Cartoon.

I loved how he could read People's tells and knew when they were Bluffing. Witch is a skill that is not only handy in poker but also in some of the situations Superheroes get put in.

Also I like Gambit cause he argued with Logan about everything. One of my favorite Gambit scenes from x-men TAS is when Gambit is buying 100 decks of Cards and the Casher girl say's "you must like to play cards a lot." witch Gambit Replys while looking her in the eyes. "Soitare is alright unless I got some one to play with."

I Also like the idea of a Superhero who Steals, Lies, Cheats, Plays Dirty, and is Awsome with Mind Games witch you need to be if your a good card player. I have always like the Dirty Superhero you don't know if you can trust or not. actully by now I think Gambit can be trusted because every time I have see him betray the x-men he had a good reason for doing it and it really did more harm to the villian Gambit was working for. Now that what I call a awsome superhero.

Gambit Great at Stabbing Villians in the Back to protect the world.
that has aways been my view of him.

Totally agree. Nobody is a perfect hero and if you had superpowers you'd be even more tempted by the dark side. That's what makes Gambit relatable and interesting. Gambit can switch sides easily and convince friend or foe to trust him. He's like the ultimate spy.

I prefer my heroes a little edgy anyhow. It makes them more interesting. Straight laced guys like Cyclops bore me to tears. :(

Were I a name in comics, I'd actually like to pitch a Gambit solo to Marvel.

Unfortunately, it'd cost $3.99 an issue, not sell well enough for Quesada, and be canned quickly, affirming the belief that Gambit can't sell because he sucks, or some crap.

$3.99 issue Quesada sucks and is crap :woot:

I hate that guy he dosen't know JACK. I swear that guy ruins anything I have read. :o

Gambit is Awsome, I just glade fox and Marvel got Letter Bomb and were forced to put Gambit in Wolverine. If Gambit Dies in that Movie, I will declare a FULL SCALE WAR ON MARVEL and will quit watching the simpsons the only good show on fox.

so let's hope for the Gambit movie after we see Wolverine.

I doubt a letter bomb convinced anyone to do anything. The fans wanted Gambit, his name was in Stryker's computer, Fox saw an opportunity. There will be as many Gambit fans going to see the film as Logan's.

Then your favorite Ninja turtle is Raphael right? And Leonardo is your least favorite. The TMNT personalitys always reminded me of X-men.

Leo --> Cyclops
Raph --> Wolverine
Donny --> Beast
Mikey --> Iceman

I didn't watch much Turtles so I don't know if that is correct or not, but probably. :)

So, randomly, I was talking to two friends (one of whom happens to write for CBR) and threw out there how I'd actually like writing a Gambit solo.

Both of them think I'd do a damn good one.

This makes me warm and happy inside.

I'd hope that it would have him running around and being a thief, doing jobs, rather than just sitting around.There is so much untapped potential in him that has never been used.

He needs something big--something that just makes you go, "YEAH, GAMBIT!" and so everyone in the Marvel universe can realize how awesome he is.

So many missed opportunities -- the visions he was having in the cards when he was blinded, the fact that he could have volunteered to be a mole in Apocolypse's camp and then Sinister's after that. Nothing sucks worse than wasted potential. :(

I know. I keep thinking, "Oooh, they're planning something. They're being sneaky and they're going to surprise us with a wonderful revelation about how brilliant Gambit really is!"

And then . . . nothing. What a let down.

Time to make up for that! I have hope!

Who knows? Maybe we will get lucky and there might be an ongoing for Gambit later next year. It would be nice. :) Or at least have him back on a regular team.

That is Pretty Close but I think Mikey is more like Nightcrawler than Iceman. Any didn't really care for Ralf that much, and I have never liked Wolverine. Favorite Turtle is Leo, followed by Mikey. Leo is not has nice has Cyclopes and has a better sense of humor, and Leo is that way mostly because of Honor and the Ninja Code. Were Cyclopes is just being the lame boy scoutt.

Hey that some Gambit's old gang has witch most gangs don't a sense of Honor. this is something that is important to me, yet it is dieing in America. I still Remember the x-men tas cartoon, were the thevies guild were fight the assiness guild over the tide, and it was about the groups honor.

In my book Gambit = Badass with Style = Awsome
Wolverine = Just Violent = getting old.

Well Gambit is signed on for 2 x-men movies after wolverine. they have him contracted for 3 flims. I wish it would be the Gambit Movie that would be sweet. But who would the villian to it be? wouldn't you almost have to use Mr. Sinister?

Well, i'm sold.
That's because you're my greatest fan, Canny. And oh, how I've missed you. Have you missed me?

Yes.

And yes.

I hadn't put much thought to it, insofar as specific stories, character arcs, plots, themes, and what not. But as far as the general goes, squeek's got the right ideas. There's no sense in trying to reinvent the wheel here with the character, and trying to do that generally results in a broken down character and an unsuccessful series.

I'm behind on my X-Men comics, but in the current X-world, it would wind up making fine sense for Gambit to be acting as (one of?) Cyclops's side-agents. Cyclops already has X-Force for black ops, and that's one dirty little secret, so why not a few more? How far back does it go? There's the opportunity to get back to Milligan's stupid, stupid, horrible Apocalypse arc. Salvage what can be salvaged. And considering Gambit was totally not a bad guy during Messiah Complex, there's that, too. If anyone's got the skillset and the balls to play a deep agent / mole in the regimes of those two, well, Gambit's definitely up there as a top contender.

There'd be the Legacy issues to deal with, but those can also be answered by Gambit working for Cyclops.

Eventually it'd all have to be reinvented during the course of an ongoing - I mean, without it all building up toward something, it'd become just a series of trite adventures of espionage or what not, which would eventually drop sales numbers. But it would work fine for a four, five, or six issue mini-series, explaining everything that's been going on with Gambit, and what it looks like for his future.

Or, heck, he could probably fit on X-Force itself. I'd love to see Choi draw him, and imagine the fun of him hitting on Domino.

In Cyclops's more militant world, though, if he has any dealings with Gambit, it makes the most sense for Gambit to be as an asset, whether on X-Force or working solo.
