I can't judge Pine as Trevor until I see how vigorously he eats the sandwiches Wonder Woman makes for him while he battles evil with his hairy manchest.

Nah. I said a long time ago that Hal'd be a big step down for Pine. He's got nothing to gain from playing a character said by many to be similar to Kirk, but non-iconic, wearing a silly looking mask, and associated w/one of the most expensive/least profitable/most disliked superhero flops ever. They're unlikely to find anybody notable that's in a hurry to take on a role that even Ryan Reynolds won't touch anymore.
Bad comparison. Batman is icon who had already proven to be a box-office draw in the past. Hal isn't and didn't. Bale had seen a live action Batman flick succeed when he took the role. Pine hasn't seen Green Lantern do anything but fail in live action
Spare me that BS. That's why it took the Batman franchise 8 years to bounce back from that movie. Superman is an icon too, that's why his franchise was stuck in development hell from the late 80s until the mid 2000s, then for another 7 years until 2013. By the time those movies came out people had long forgotten the old flops. There's a nine year gap between the GL movies, whoever ends up playing Hal in 5 years, will be anything but ashamed that he plays a character who was featured in a movie that failed a decade ago. You never cease to entertain with the crap you pull out of your rear end to hate on Jordan.
I agree, DC definitely likes to do things 5 to 10 years too late. Sometimes I still find it hard to believe that we've seen Thanos earlier than Darkseid in live action.
lol. That wasn't about hating on Hal. Just calling it like I see it. U mad? Nothing you said makes BS out of what I said. Batman and Supes are icons and I don't recall either one of those movies failing as much at the box office. Nobody notable seems to be in a rush to play Hal. That's possible, but I'm pretty sure he didn't ask either. I don't mind that association because it's not going much further than that. I'm just glad he's gonna BE Steve Trevor!!
I am seeing a lot of saltiness from some Hal fans recently. Lol. It's not the end of the world, guys.

And I do think that they are going to have trouble casting GL because of how much of an epic failure in all ways that 2011 movie was.

Wasn't the rumor that a Green Lantern would cameo at the end of the Justice League 1 and then be a bigger part of Justice League 2? For all we know that could mean Abin Sur in the first one and then the ring gets passed on in the second one.
Damn ya'll salty af
Newsflash Warner Bumbles is not funny nor has it ever been funny and whining about Pine not playing GL while not blinking twice at more talented female actors than him playing the love interest is sexist as all get out.
They won't. Actors gunning to play comic book characters is a hot thing going on today. Plus whoever is cast as Hal will know that GLC is going to be a team movie so he won't have to carry it by himself. Also GLC will get the boost from the Justice League, another team movie. Judging by Snyder's comments that Justice League starts shooting next spring, GL should be cast by the end of the year.
Geez are your posts awful. I'm not going to respond anymore because I like it on SHH.I'll admit that I get salty when it comes to the GLC. I want more, more, more, more.t:
Oh, I disagree, Warner Bumbles describes that studio perfectly.
Well, you've obviously decided what the narrative is, but I'll state with no reservations that it has nothing to do with Pine's gender. If you're committed enough, you can search this board to find numerous instances where I've objected to CBM's over-reliance on relationship storylines (including the '11 GL film), have stated that Gadot is a miscast for Wondy, expressed my preference for the Wondy-Supes relationship over Wondy-Trevor. I have plenty of reasons to dislike the Pine casting, even beyond my preference for GLs.
For that matter, you can also find instances where I've said that it's shameful for Wonder Woman, She-Hulk, and Ms/Captain Marvel haven't been featured in movies, and that Black Canary is a more interesting character on Arrow than Green Arrow is.
Maybe he just didn't want to play Hal Jordan. According to the scoopers he was offered both roles and in the end chose Trevor. If true, kind of strange why he would choose to play Wonder Woman's love interest over a founding member of the Justice League, but unfortunately it's a well known fact that WB don't exactly know how to treat the character of Hal Jordan. Or maybe Hal is just not going to be in the Justice League movies at all.
Did some of you get a chance to think about maybe Pine wasn't even offered the Hal role? Just perhaps?
