It's a clock. He's a Watch Dog--get it? I just had to subtract a lot of colors to bring the size of the gif down for an avatar, so it's not really clear.

I wouldn't be surprised if a remake comes along in another 10 years, as people from that generation start reaching the upper echelons of the cartoon/TV show world.

Daxam's sun is already red. Like Kryptonians, Daxamites get their powers from yellow sunlight. I think it will take Sinestro's intervention to get rid of Mongul. Then Mongul goes red.

so can anyone recommend me some good GL comics. I don't know anything about the character so if I could read something that introduces him or is an origin story, that would be great.

Geoff Johns' Rebirth sounds like the book for you. The perfect starting point for a new recruit.

I just came back from my local comic book shop. I told them I wanted to get into Green Lantern comics and they guy said Green Lantern No Fear was the route to take. He said Rebirth may be a bit confusing to someone who doesn't know GL. So I got that and Flash Rebirth issue 1.
