yeah, the ending of this issue was pretty awesome. i really wonder how thats gonna play out!

These past couple GL issues are really kinda just like bad.

What? Yeah right. These last few have been some of the best in recent memory, and the art style of Philip Tan (dirty lines as opposed to clear defined single lines) goes perfect with Larfleeze and his persona. It feels a bit decompressed, but then again this arc has been plagued with delays, so that might have something to do with it.

Just like nothing has been like "WOOO HOOO! THAT WAS GREAT!" Its just sort been Meh for me. Seems like the story isnt really moving forward at all.

lol I was ready for Hal to become the Turquiose Lantern,..

Hey maybe Hal will join Booddika and be an Alpha Lantern? I mean, afterall she went through the same thing he did. [blackout](having her hand cut off[/blackout]

Last page of GL41 for those that wanted to see it;

Figured that if anyone, you'd get a kick out of it.

And I love the way that final panel looks. Reminds me of a painting.

Shouldn't the blue rings be a bit more selective, though? I don't think anyone can just grab a green or yellow ring and automatically make it their own (unless they're already in the appropriate corps, like Mongul stealing all the yellow rings).

The blue ring was put on Hal, it did not choose him. Every new blue lantern has to find the newest recruit, some one who is worthy of great hope. I dont think Larfleeze will be able to use it. Remember how hard it was for Ollie to use a green one? Just becaus eyou put it on doesnt mean it works.

Well the way it's explained how the Blue Rings work (I know you don't read GL so I don't expect you to know the ins and outs of this stuff) was that a current Blue Lantern has to "pass down" his ring. Saint Walker "passed down" his ring to Hal in Rage of the Red Lanterns, and had to get a replacement one from Ganthet/Sayd back on their homebase. The ring is permanently bonded to the user until "all power is drained" from it, according to Ganthet/Sayd. So, basically when Larfleeze cut Hals hand off and took the ring, it considered it being "passed down".

That's how I see it at least, for right now. Chances are he won't be able to use it at all and it'll blow up in his face within the first few panels of next issue, but speculation is more fun than the actual story, for me at least.

It shouldn't even recognize him :o

I'm more concerned about Hal's arm than the blue ring though :(

Looks like Hal will only be able to get angry and punch stuff with one hand now!

Mongul didn't reattach anything. He's holding his arm in place using his ring, but it's still separated from his body. I'm looking forward to when it starts rotting. :)

im not looking forward to a green construct hand. or any sort of one handed hal jordan. im sure the guardians will reattach it somehow...

I dunno man, his arm looked pretty sewn on in the last GLC issue he was in.

Well it is only his left hand. And Hal keeps his green ring on his right, so its doubtful he's a southpaw. So he can still give his right hook.

I just want to see Larfleeze eat Hal's hand. I think that would be a great moment. NOM NOM NOM.

Yeah, I didn't see any yellow energy coming from the busted arm, that's why I assumed it was reattached

Somebody needs to school the colorist on Fatality...
