They do. Grant Morrison played with that in JLA with Zauriel, and Mark Millar (in JLA: Paradise Lost) and Geoff Johns (in Day of Judgment) explored it.

I have. But I was under the impression that it was considered seperate from the main DCU because of the situation between DC and Vertigo?

That's a very recent thing. And things from the two companies still tend to leak across to each other every once in a while. More to the point, the Christian God objectively exists in the DCU. Cain is a real person, currently Vandal Savage. Things from the Bible being alluded-to in DC cosmology is really no big deal.

Me, I'm still stuck on the whole "Earth being the first planet in the universe to develop life" thing. That's...that's just not really. I dunno. I mean no matter how you look at it that's...I dunno.

And the first thing in the known universe to feel compassion is an...octopus. Huh.
