A)The acting was horrid save for Kurt Russell.
B)You take a great idea like Stuntman Mike and you make a complete mockery of it. Okay, so the tables are turned and he turns all *****. It doesn't mean it's a good thing. It ruined the movie. Those girls could not act, and they were annoying. You wanna see a movie where the girls kick ass? Go watch the Descent. It was actually good, and the girls kicked absolute ass in that movie.
C)The dialogue was atrocious. I went with a bunch of friends, three of whom were girls, and even they couldn't stand the girls in the movie. The second group of girls especially. It was like Quentin went to the black girl and said "Here's a copy of Pulp Fiction. I want you to imitate Samuel L. Jackson to a T, but you have to be a stuntwoman instead of a hitman." She was obnoxious, annoying, and unfunny. In fact, they were all unfunny. Esp. the New Zealand lesbian. Oh joy it's so fun we're girls and we're talking about how we're gonna blow this guy and we're not gonna blow that guy. It's total bull. Tarantino is just trying to make characters that will rival the characters in Pulp Fiction. It will never, ever happen. It's unbelievable he went from Kill Bill to this movie. I know it was supposed to be in the vein of those 70's films and all, but that doesn't mean you have to make it bad.
As for Planet Terror, that movie had it all. It HAD the badass chicks, and they could actually act. It had the badass dude. And yeah, he died, so what? He went out like a warrior. And if anyone tries to say the gun leg was "stupid", just remember you're watching a film about zombies. And even given that, the acting was 20x better. I would've expected the acting in Deathproof to be in Planet Terror. Unbelievably bad.
Planet Terror: 9/10
Deathproof: 3/10
3 because for the 3 minutes of the film it was actually good.
