I guess we'll all just have to suck it up and buy both and if we want the Grindhouse experience, just watch them back to back. But in all honesty, wouldn't you rather watch one (each of which is a half hour longer) get up, stretch, go use the bathroom, and then pop in the next one? I know I would. LOTR and King Kong are the only movies with a 3+ hour running time that I can actually sit all the way through withotu having to get up for anything. I know when I saw Grindhouse in the theatre, after Planet Terror was over I had been laughing so hard that I couldnt sit another 90 minutes withotu using the restroom, and ended up missing all of the trailer except for Machete (which was worth it :woot: )

Why the **** is Death Proof being released BEFORE Planet Terror? Big, big mistake. All the Tarantino groupies will buy it no doubt but this will flop even in the dvd market. It was the one element, imo, that dragged down the awesome first half the Grinhouse experience.

And are the fake trailers attached with either of the releases?

i`m not a huge movie officinado or anything of the sort,im just a normal cinema go`er.deathproof is a piece of **** imho.never, have i seen a film with so much talking and nothing takes place.i was basically praying for kurt russel to come back on screen because there was nothing much else to look forward to.i hope to christ planet terror is better.bloody nice poster though i`ll give it that.

yeah i know i want to see planet terror more but have to wait a month longer. couldn't they even release the dvd on the same day?

I think the studio is hoping that ppl buy DP first to see if the trailers are on there. I think once PT comes out, DP sales will drop.

To me and I am a big Tarantino fan, Planet Terror was surperior film. To me Death Proof was all over the place, and needed Russell in it much more than he was.

The first half of Death Proof was great.

The second half was horrible.

^I think it was the opposite, personally. I found all the girl talk rather annoying.

co-sign, PT was sheer awesomeness I loved every minute of it and it will get copped on the first day. But I'll never ever again sit through that self indulgent piece of trash known as DP, not even on cable.

I have the DVD for Death Proof. The lapdance scene is intact. And for some strange reason Kurt Russell sniffs Rosario Dawson's feet in a parking lot, just like in the script. Jesus Quentin, just call your next movie foot fetish and have it be 2 hours of you doing things to female celebrities' feet.

Yes, as soon as the first crash was over the film came to a screeching halt. All of those women needed to die by Kurt Russell and his car. I can't decide which girl I wanted to die more. The cheerleader was the least offensive, for sure. Zoe Bell slept with Tarantino, I'm sure of it.

Yes, I wanted Stunt Man Mike to slay the stunt women so bad. I hated the sudden change of tone Stuntman Mike has with the second group.

Completely agree. Somewhere through this 48 pages, back in April I wrote my review of Grindhouse. Stunt-Man was great in the first half. I'm talk about a pimp who could talk a woman into giving him a lap dance! Then he kills them with that bad-ass car with the skull on it. Now that was awesome.

The second half just went down-hill. Mike became lame as hell. I'm really hoping the extended cut is better.

has there ever been a debate of whether or not the events of death proof were in reverse?

Lol, I'm a girl....sister not brother.

oh lol ...my brain is evidently working extra slow today. I thought you were correcting my grammar. Sorry for using Bro, it's a habit just like I say dude to girls as well. Many apologies.

To get back to Planet Terror...One of my favorite aspects was seeing a kickass Michael Biehn again.
