I really disliked Planet Terror, it was a sickening gore-fest. I'm not a fan of terrible flicks, intentional or not. I regret being dragged to see it though I did think Death Proof was decent, I hated the ending the first time I saw it but upon second viewing, I like it.
Yeah, it was an homage to terrible sickening b-rate gore-fest films. The movie was just as bad and sickening as Rodriguez intended it to be.
while i think DP may have been the better movie, PT was DEFINITELY the better "grindhouse" movie. DP didn't even try. PT was spot on with the reels burning and missing and stuff. it looked more authentic. DP was pretty good, but it wasn't in the spirit of grindhouse films. it just felt like another QT movie.
where were the trailers in the movie. i just saw machete. i didn't see the others...well i saw em on youtube, but not in the film.
i thought they were integrated in the movies. just machete was included?
The experience of watching Grindhouse, in a full theater, with all of the phoney movie trailers and the little rating warnings in between..
My goodness, no other movie-going experience has been matched...

Yeah he said look for the 2 disc editon of grindhouse with both films.Well in the theatrical version, Machete was at the beginning of Planet Terror. And the other three trailers were in between the two movies. They then decided to split the movies up for the DVD release. But either DVD has the three trailers on them. Only Machete was kept at the beginning of Planet Terror. But Rodriguez stated on his film school on the Planet Terror DVD that they will be releasing the theatrical version of the film, but god knows when that will happen.
There was some minor new stuff, like the Blocks waking up for their midnight shift and more gore. No, not to me. Though, I didn't notice anything new in Planet Terror's "Extended".
