I almost ordered that few months back, but it doesn't have English subs so I didn't.

I like subs. :o

They're great help when you don't quite hear/get what the actors are saying.

I watched DP for the first time without subs and half of the dialogue just went by me.

I've watched DP like 20 times and I always know what they're saying.

What are you deaf? :o

*kneels down and cries apologetically*

I'm sorry, I didn't mean that!!!!!!

I do admit Death Proof has more individualistic dialogue than Planet Terror does so you sort of have to work out how each girl works and then you understand what's going on.

Death Proof PWNS ALL OVER Planet Terror though (and I'm a Rodriguez fan).

I want to see a Crazy babysitter Twins Movie more than Machete.

It might be because English ain't my first language. (+the DP which I watched for the first time was CAM, so the audio wasn't exactly perfect... I didn't want to wait till September!)

I see. That makes sense. I just didn't know you could make a car death proof.

Seen the pair of movies on Starz for the first time a month ago. Now i watch it everytimes its on Starz (almost everytime anyway)

Just about everything about both of the pictures are awesome. The cheese, over saturation of dialogue (deathproof)....everything
lol

btw, Rose McGowen is freakin GORGEOUS

There were many women in Grindhouse I feel are more beautiful than Rose, I've never found her attractive. She has a distinct look, and she isn't ugly by any stretch of the imagination, but I think she's an acquired taste.

I'm not sure as to why people say "this is my favourite", even me, because they are apples and oranges, they always were supposed to be.

There's a torrent of a HDTV recording of the film floating around the internet, I believe. The films separately are also available on Blu-Ray disc in the states in Region-All format. I haven't bought them yet, but hopefully will soon. If I don't get them I can wait till February. They come out here in February.

The full Grindhouse is available for instant download through Netflix.

No problem. I watched it a few nights ago.

I should have gone for that ages ago. I bought PLANET TERROR seperately and I've been waiting out the release for the whole as it is. For now, I'll most definitely take that option that you've presented.

This came on Starz last night, so I sat back and watched it, as I missed part of Death Proof the first time around.

The faux trailers still get me, no matter how many times you see them, Thanksgiving being the best of the lot.

"It's blood.

"Son of a *****!"

Whoever wrote that line succeeded in making me laugh so hard I cried for a good minute.

I could be wrong but i think Eli Roth both wrote and directed the thanksgiven trailer. He even does the Thanksgiven voice in the trailer.

Yes, Eli Roth directed, wrote, and had a cameo in is faux trailer Thanksgiving. It's funny that Eli's best work was a minute long fake trailer that was horribly spoofed edited horror film. In all seriousness, I really want to see Thanksgiving as an actual movie.

so any news on machete or anything else. Rob zombie said he was eventually going to release the 40 minute long werewolf woemen of the ss. he makes me angry, he has tons of projects going but he drops them to do haloween. finishes haloween, starts other stuff back up and then drops them once again

Michael Beihn's delivery MADE that. I also laughed for a minute.

I got a question, did anyone here actually like Death Proof? Ive seen alot of people bashing it and I dont know why. I thought it was great. Funny, witty lines, good car chases good acting etc. I even bought the dvd.

I just felt it was overly long. But then again I only seen the version on dvd. I own both Death Proof and Planet Terror.

I liked the first part of death proof with the first group of girls.

I liked it. It pales in comparison to "Planet Terror", but I liked it.

Really?! I thought it was WAY better than PT. I know PT was meant to be bad, but it was just too bad.
I much prefer DP. I do feel they could have cut out some of the talking, but overall, I loved it.

Ehh, at first i was sour about the film NEVER BEING RELEASED ON DVD :cmad:
but I can appreciate that it works most effectively in theaters.
