That's a thing of beauty. Well done to all involved!

Aquaman was played for laughs on Entourage, too. The idea that James Cameron would direct a movie about "DC's lamest superhero," and it becomes the biggest superhero movie ever was meant to incite giggles because the source material is so dubious. Personally, I think that if they're ever going to make an Aquaman movie the only way to do it right is through self-parody, which was originally the plan before the movie got scrapped (which is probably for the best anyway).

Maybe DC and Marvel should just do a Namor vs. Aquaman movie and get both characters out of the way in one fell swoop. The tagline would be "There will only be one king of Atlantis."

It's not Aquaman's fault that the creators of these shows are too ignorant to know how awesome he truly is. :woot:

Aquaman is a badass Warrior King and he should be portrayed that way.

Cavill is already in pretty good shape from filming Immortals. I think he could realistically put on the required size to get the Superman look. Probably needs only 20 more pounds. Seeing as how ripped he was from the Immortals shot, only 10 of that 20 pounds would need to be muscle. Also he should be done filming The Cold Light of Day by the time they start Superman.

Looking at the kind of shape that Christian Bale was able to get into for Batman Begins and what Chris Hemsworth was able to do for Thor, I think it's pretty reasonable to believe that Cavill would be able to get into "Superman Shape" by the time filming starts. And this is Zack Snyder, we're talking about-- just look at how much training the actors in 300 had to go through. Training schedules are something he's used to working with.

Yeah, I'm betting whoever gets Superman will get the 300 training treatment. Leonidas' physique at the very least.

If Hammer really did say they're going older, and if they really are, then I'm disappointed. Cavill has finally matured into what (I believe) Superman producers and maybe even Bond producers were looking for a few short years ago, and now they want to go Kingdom Come? Disappointing at best.

I think Cavill could still try out there. He's losing the baby face.

I could definitely believe him as a 30-something. Especially based on those recent pics of him shooting that Bruce Willis movie.

Family Guy isn't exactly the biggest show in the world. If it happened on the Simpsons, you'd have a point.

BWAHAHAHAHAHA. Family Guy has become far more popular & recognized than that horrible, family friendly Simpson's crap. That show has become so predictable & so preachy in it's storytelling that it's become a joke unto itself. There's only so many times you can heart Bart say, "Eat my shorts" or Homer say "DOH!" before it wears thin. Simpson's is pathetic. Family Guy breaks the rules & apologizes for no one. That's what comedy truly is.

I grew bored with Family Guy when I realized that the show is built around cutaway gags. If I want one shot gags that form no narrative whatsoever I'll stick with Robot Chicken where they're actually funny.

The Simpsons jumped the shark a LONG time ago, it pains me to say... But I could never really get into Family Guy. I do remember one CATS joke that was especially funny, though, but yeah, it was just a cutaway gag, LOL.

If they're going for a mid-thirties superman, cavill is the clear choice over hamm. Hamm is gonna start looking REALLY old if this franchise does sequels, yet cavill is just right at that sweet spot of looking more mature throughout sequels.

Also, cavill's superman look>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>john hamm's old and narrow looking face.

Holy cow. :applaudThat face is 1,000% Superman... Strong, but still noble and peaceful. Feels just right. I'm surprised there's even such a good fit left out there..

Very hopeful for this film now.

Indeed. Not unlike Reeve. Also, just as important, he looks very friendly in some shots.

From interviews I've seen of Cavill he is very polite and humble. If anyone is worried about his accent he does a fine American accent in Blood Creek.

Hey, someone suggested Evan Rachel Wood for Lois, and I spotted this pic

Anyone think they'd make a good combo?

The last thing I saw ERW in was True Blood and I pretty much hated her performance. I know a lot if people speak well of her chops, but I just don't see it. I guess I'd have to revisit some of her other roles.

Cavill would fit well with the new Superman: Earth One depiction should they choose to be inspired by the new take it has:

That guy is Superman. Out of all the realistic choices I've heard (realistic ie NOT Routh and Welling), he's the guy.

Theyre not even thinking about sequels yet. right now the studio is thinking about MOS being a one shot movie that they can get out before the ensuing legal battle between the heirs of the Superman creators and WB

You say this as though it's a matter of fact, though, as far as I know, there is no evidence to support this theory. If I'm wrong, I wouldn't mind seeing proof.
