Age of Ultron The Official Hulkbuster!! Thread

I hope the Hulkbuster beats up the Hulk. I can't think of one instance in comics that had Tony Stark beating up the Hulk. Strongest ever? Yeah, whatever. I just want Mr. fancy Gadget Man to win once.

I suppose so. In the shot of him "suiting up" and the shot before they punch each others fists (all in the first trailer), you see some silver poke out from under the gold plating, sorta forming what looks like steel knuckles. Because apparently huge metal fists need double the metal on the knuckles.

But there's also this shot from the second trailer

At first it looks like he's just about to use his repulsors, but upon a closer look, his hand is closed, and some sort of electric prong is sticking out from the gold plate on the arm.

I suppose that they're the densest part of the arms, so he could always use them to block an attack or slam them on Hulk.

I guess you could say he's "armed and dangerous." harharhar

....

Okay, I'll leave now.

well IM does turn to face the Hulk as the Hulk approaches. Good eye on the prong from the forearm section. Did not see that before. Yes those gold forearm units look to be made not only to hold weapons but for also melee combat. We see one move into position before IM intercepts a punch from the Hulk during the first trailer.

This battle is gonna be one for the super hero film history books. Cant wait to see what else Tony has in the bag of Hulkbustin' tricks. :)

In an interview, Mark Ruffalo had said that this movie has the "Hulk hulking out." No. That's not Bruce Banner hulking out, but the Hulk! That is insane. Tony Stark may need a Superhulkbuster for the Hulkbuster to fit in before he fights Hulk.

That's my biggest question about this shot, and thus for the whole sequence. Is there a third party in this fight? Is Scarlet Witch on site and Tony tries to neutralize her in hopes of not having to fight Hulk anymore? But as he takes aim, Hulk surprises him from the side.

Or is he indeed aiming at Hulk (who would logically be in front of him at first, where he's aiming), but Hulk gets around quickly and strikes him from the side? I know Hulk's fast, but Iron Man suits in the MCU typically aren't slow to respond/have pretty good "reflexes". Even the mighty Hulkbuster I find difficult to imagine would take so long to even begin to turn around if he is indeed tracking Hulk. That's why I feel in that shot, he's being surprised, which would mean he's not aiming at Hulk initially.

I dunno. I could be completely wrong, as it is just a brief shot with little context.

^^ It looks like hes getting ready to kick something and Hulk sucker punches him.

I've watched all the trailers and TV spots, but I'm going to skip the Hulk vs. Hulkbuster clip; gonna have to preserve some surprises, you know.

Couldn't help myself...... Looks fan-bloody-tastic!

I will skip this one too. I am happy that they still have shown so very little of the Vision. I will continue to look at tv spots but will stop looking at clips like this. I dont want to be spoiled too much.

Well it's nearly all stuff we have seen in the trailers and spots anyway. Hopefully the fight continues for a while longer and there is much more we haven't seen.

That Hulkbuster sequence looks like everything we hoped for and more.

Saw the clip was published last night, closed the laptop and said "nope, you're not watching this."

Caved this morning, looks awesome!

I have decided not to watch the footage of the fight aside from trailers and tv spots. But I did ask someone that has seen it and if it was like the Superman/Zod fight from MOS and they said yes.

WOW. If only this was the actual battle we got! I mean, don't get me wrong, the one we got was pretty damn good, but if it was a little it longer like that animatic video then this would've easily been one of the most epic fights in cinema. Love the music score too.
