Maybe Pyro burns off his uniform and to prevent the same thing happening he turns to ice.

You know, I was just thinking about that. Pyro burns Iceman's X-Men suit and he has to take it off. Voila, his iced-up body.

^That does make the most sense if he is fighting Pyro.

It would be amazing. Pyro showing off how his power has advanced (please more manipulation than just fire blasts) and when the flames and smoke clear a iced up iceman ready to show him the same. Or maybe an iceslide out of the smoke to shock. My imagination is going nuts

Geez, I was just letting my imagination run wild and I just imaged the scene for the ice-slide. An iced-up Iceman, we see the whole scene from his eyes, as he runs really fast and he raises his hands, doing the ice-slide.

I know it sounds lame, but imaging it...all I know that it's going to be an awesome scene. I hope they don't mess it up. May 25, hurry up and get here already!

It would be refreshing to see Pyro creating some firey animals to attack the X-Men during the final battle (dragons, lions, phoenix birds, snakes, etc.).

As for Iceman, it would also be cool if he did a throwback to X2 and create an ice wall/shield to block Pyros flame attacks. I can see Pyro taunting Iceman on how weak he is (by shooting intense flames at him), and that he's not pushing his powers as hard as Pyro is. Then, when it gets too hot for Iceman to handle, Pyro's feet and legs begin to freeze up, and he is slowly encased in ice. Iceman then ices up, and whispers a one liner to Pyro, and joins the rest of the battle by taking off on an ice slide... Leaving Pyro frozen and immobile.

Visually, having an area of steam from fire meeting ice would be a little boring (no offense), but the reason why I wanted Pyro to punk Iceman, is because of his lack of drive to push himself... An ongoing problem with the comic book Iceman. That would also be kind of a nod to the Iceman fans to see him gain the courage to fight off his enemy, as he's always getting the crap kicked out of him... Even though he's had years of training and experience (in the comics).

As with all people being encased in Iceman's ice, they always break free... Funny though, that in real life, you'd be stuck for a very long time. But I digress...

I would assume that Pyro would also find a way out of his icy-prison if put in that situation.

That's probably what we'll see. Magneto's Brotherhood not affraid to use their powers, while the X-Men are more reserved... Which is why I think Pyro will get the best of Iceman in the beginning, but as a survival reflex, he ices up, and defeats Pyro somehow.

Of course we could all be wrong, and something else completely different takes place during the ending battle, but it's fun to speculate.

I'm pretty sure Bobby can fight his own battles without Rogue helping out. Besides, she may be in an entirely different location when the battle takes place (Worthington labs, X-Jet, battling another opponent).

I'm saying that with the way comics are drawn, or in animated shows with Iceman, it seems pretty easy for people to break free of being encased in Iceman's ice... Like in that "Spiderman and his Amazing Friends" show. It was like his ice was made of styrofoam.

Ummm, there's already a post of that topic. But to answer your question, YES, he will be iced up and riding an ice slide a few times during the movie. Check the history of the main spoiler forum and you'll see the topic "Iceman will "ice up" in X3".... You'll also see some cool pictures and images of how he might look.

No, because this is a general thread about anything iceman related, versus the other thread that talks about what he should look like, how he'll sound when iced up, and what will trigger him icing up.

They probably could be merged, but it would take a hell of a long time to read through all the posts to find a specific picture that was posted. a week or two ago.

Besides, it's twice as fun for us hardcore Iceman fans to respond to two seperate posts.

Does anyone know the number of time he will transform into ice in the movie?

And the number of times he will be riding his ice slide in the movie?

I've read (in the set reports I think) that he ices up more than once (I wouldn't expect more than twice) but I can't remember any confirmation on ice slides.

I was under the impression that he uses his ice slide in the Danger room with Kitty. There was a recent interview with Ratner and the girl that plays Kitty Pryde, and she was mentioning a stunt that involved her being harnessed with cables along with Shawn Ashmore (also harnessed). It may be possible that this is a scene where she is riding an ice slide with him.

That would cause him to lose his ice state due to steaming up.
