Geez, some of these designs suck! I know he's called Iceman but you don't have to take it literally.

Really hate the Ice CGI for Iceman's head. It's just a block of glass with hard to read facial expressions. That didn't have to literally make him look like ice. Iceman is an organic mix of Ice and flesh. They could have found a sweet spot in between. Face make up with some subtle cgi touch's.
Would have liked to see more Ice constructs too but, ah well. We'll see what the future holds.

Hope to see more of him in future movies. I don't really see how they could have done some practical make-up for Bobby.. This is better...

curiously, the same thing F4 crew did with Human torch in the first two movies. When I saw X3, months later I realized it was the same approach.

I think the X3 Iceman fx still look fine but he looked great in DOFP, so good seeing the Iceslide too.

I was geeking ut no doubt because it was the first time he went full Ice-Man BUT I didn't think it looked good. Singer did a better job. Seriously he looked perfect in DOFP.t:

Looking back at the difference between the X3 and DOFP Iceman "Ice" form, I am just trying to rationalize that Bobby finally learned how to improve his ice form.

My only complaint about the Ice-form in DOFP is why didn't Fox showcase the ice-form in posters and print-ads like the Empire magazine? We've seen the ice form in TV ads and trailer #2 and #3. I just wish they went all the way. Its like the same thing with Silver Samurai, no poster featuring the big suit.

Effectswise, I kind of figured Bobby iced over in X3. In DOFP, he actually turns to ice.

Personally though, I really have no complaints over the effects. I think X3 did a good job on the ice form. DOFP just raised the bar higher.
