The Official "I'm Not Excited About This Movie At All" Thread

Well it's not like thye're sitting in front of the computer the entire film. What you see in the tvs spots actually happened with the lawsuits and the friendships torn apart.

Yeah. And I still don't care.

Yeah. And I still don't care.

Your loss. A movie can be about something without being about something. I despise pro-wrestling. I think it is stupid, boring and homoerotically hilarious (given its target audience), but I thoroughly enjoyed the movie The Wrestler.

I bet many non-ballet people who don't even know what Swan Lake is are going to see "Black Swan" this December.

Social Network on one level is a great story of American capitalism in the 21st century and about the trappings of a true story boom in a new medium. On another level it can work as a deconstruction of how social media and Internet technology has completely changed our culture and what those changes are.

And given it is the writer of The West Wing, A Few Good Men and Charlie Wilson's War and the director of Fight Club, Seven, Zodiac, and the Curious Case of Benjamin Button...

It looks very impressive.

I despise wrestling. I loved The Wrestler.

I'm not into ballet. Billy Elliot is one of my favorite movies. And I can't wait to see Black Swan.

I'm fully aware of what The Social Network is about. And I'll probably see it eventually. But I'm in no rush to see it. Just not interested. That's all there is to it.

Life as we know it .
Case 39
My soul to take
Paranormal Activity 2

Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps
The Social Network

Those two off the top of my head.

The Social Network

Harry Potter. In fact, never once was I excited about a Harry Potter movie or book for that matter

Yeah, I'm not interested in The Social Network for a few reasons.

1. I hate Jesse Eisenberg. I'm not completely opposed to actors who play the same character in everything, but if I hate the character you always play, then I don't like you.

2. I hate Timberlake. So far, he's only starred in movies that I don't particularly care about, but every time he is cast in something it takes us one step closer to the day when some idiot director casts him in in film based off one of my favorite books, comics, etc. I dread that day.

3. It might not actually be about Facebook, but it's still about Facebook. And I hate Facebook. I don't care if the a**holes who put the whole thing together screwed each other over, nor does it surprise me that they did. For *****ebags, by *****ebags. That should be the Facebook motto.

On the other hand, it does have David Fincher.... and the great Trent Reznor did the music. But I still can't bring myself to want to see it.

Wall Street 2

The first one was lame, why would I want to watch a sequel?

Due Date

I didn't like the Hangover and I don't find the trailer to be funny in any way.

Ooooohhhh come on Spidey, the original Wall Street is a classic. Michael Douglas is brilliant in that film. I can understand why people have reserves about the sequel, but the first one was so good (other than Daryl Hannah).

The Social Network is a hard movie to sell because Facebook is still fresh in people's minds since it's so new.

at the sametime, it's David Fincher and it's about a product that millions of people use every day. It affects them, and it's a part of their lives, LIKE IT OR NOT. The movie is not about Facebook either, but a modern day rise and fall of a friendship set in our digital age.

I'm sure people who don't care about The Social Network now will see eventually.

everyone is aware that the movie is not about the software facebook.

some just dont care about a story how a young smart geek became rich

but you could say that about any movie.
but it does happen for every movie. i think Inception was fantastic. but there is someoen who didnt care to even watch it. is this guy or girl wrong? i respect them for not watching a movie about a guy dreaming.

I was really hyped for GL for the longest time before the major casting. I was in the GL threads every day, but now I dont really care much.
Im still gonna see it in theaters, but I dont really feel anything towards it

But for ones Im not excited about at all

The Tourist (the movie has already come out like 4 times this year alone)
Jackass 3D
Hereafter
Gullivers Travels

to name a few

With GL, I haven't really been at the boards because there's nothing to talk about until the trailer arrives.

Gulliver's Travels looks like one of the worst movies of the year.

But that's the thing. Fincher is involved. You would think he would do something interesting with it all.

I'm not really excited for Tron anymore. The negative buzz since the footage at Comic Con screened has been pretty bunk.

All of this "LOL Facebook movie" talk about Social Network is getting really old. The movie is going to be ****ing great. Deal with it.
