So... maybe a trailer with 'The Book of Eli'?

I'd say that's most likely the case. We're due for a trailer, anyway. I heard there was one shown at SDCC last year and was leaked online, but I can't find it anywhere. Was able able to snag it off the internet before it got taken down?

yea i never saw the comic con reel either would love to see it. But i hope things are soon.

After watching suffering through Gamer I have zero confidence on this..

Well lets hope we see some footage real soon! The trailer might be up this weekend which would be really nice!

sweet deal.

BTW, reshoots does not mean it's a bad thing.

Have you read the script for this though? It's very Jonah Hex...y.

10 days of additional shoots and reshoots have been ordered to incorporate more script and to jazz up the action. Director Francis Lawrence (I Am Legend) has also been brought on as a 'consultant'. Hmm.

Francis Lawrence being brought on as a consultant is a bit ominous if you ask me, is he a friend of the directors or have WB ordered him to clean up some scene's?

A bit worrying to say the least.

Yeah, a few days of reshoots isn't a big deal. Lots and lots of movies have a couple scenes reshot without it meaning anything other than they're tweaking a few things. Heck, if the scenes are winter scenes, it's completely reasonable for why you would hold off until now.

Now, bringing in another director as a "consultant" is potentially a red flag.

Neveldine and Taylor have said that their original script for Jonah Hex is completely different then the current script that was used during the shooting of the movie.

I still think that releasing this the same week as Toy Story 3 is a bad idea. However, if this movie fails, it won't affect Josh Brolin's career any as he could always go back to doing smaller Indie films that get critical acclaim.

Definately, re-shoots are nothing new, but other directors being involved is never a good thing in my experience.

yea nice news about the reshoots and all that. i dont see any issues with that. As others have said films do it all the time. Heck im 2 is rumored to be doing reshoots right now at marvel studios with thor started up there the other day and all that.

Just came back from seeing Book of Eli. No Jonah Hex trailer. The movie's out in July, why are they waiting so long to put out a damn trailer?:cmad:

You do understand that Jonah Hex is not a $100+ million tentpole, right? And that they likely don't have the marketing budget to maintain 6 months worth of promotion? WB would be darn happy if they can gross Julie & Julia money on Jonah Hex.

Seriously, review how The Hangover was promoted. That's likely what WB will do with Jonah Hex. Not the teaser, 2nd trailer, mass blanketing ad campaign of a blockbuster.

yea we will probably get one or two trailers and then once film is closer to release more press on it. i do wish we had something now to look at.

Its not the re-shoots that I am worried about, most movies have them, but bringing another director on as consultant worries me greatly.

ah ok. Who knows what the other director who came on board as a consultant did or how much say he had in anything. only time will tell there. I do hope we will get some footage soon.

your probably right, it just looks a bit off to me for some reason so i figured it was one of those ultra realistic figures

Not much action in this thread anyway, but there is a lot of negative buzz behind the scenes on Hex.

oh really that sucks, i dont know much on the character but i hope the film does well. Is it over the whole reshoot stuff?
