When is this due for release exactly? Watched No Country for Old Men again the other night and think Brolin will be awesome in this.
April 6, 2010
^So its out in August rather than April? Thats surprising, thought something like this would be more suited to an April release to be honest.
Might be a bit more competitive, but there's a lot more people going to the movies as well. More adult counter-programming generally has a niche in that period. I expect Public Enemies to do well and Unforgiven, Road to Perdition, Presumed Innocent, and Saving Private Ryan all did well in Summer slots.
A Summer opening probably is a solid guarantee of at least $25 million opening weekend. Considering we're all presuming a modest budget, that's a good bet that Jonah Hex will be profitable right there.
August is better. Specially because the movie will be hard "R".
It will only get a good opening with no competition though wont it, if a big blockbuster opens the week after an opening like that isnt guaranteed.
R-rated movies arent normally released in august though are they?
^Well thats sort of my point, IB will provide some strong competition for this, were as in April it would definately have less competition.
F&F's type of opening would please WB also if they are hoping to turn this into a franchise.
I'm not sure if I'm following here. Inglourious Basterds is a 2009 release. Jonah Hex is a 2010 release.
Is anyone else surprised we've not gotten more set pics, since the initial Fox ones?
You have every right to be confused, as I made a huge mistake!
I'm sure more will follow, maybe they are being overly secretive?
We can only hope. That'll all change once the movie is released and kicks ass, then everyone will want a part two![]()
