It'll probably make back it's budget, but that's it. It's a shame because this had potential to be awesome and everything we've seen so far makes it seem like this will be a very 'meh' film.

I'll definitely be seeing it...at the matinée time.

Those Animated stills look awesome.
Really looking forward to seeing that short.

yea i cant wait to see the short on that upcoming batman dtv.

Dang it!! I was actually looking forward to seeing this movie after the first trailer but the 2nd trailer has almost killed it for me. I still plan on seeing it at the matinee but man.......outside of Batman, DCE just isn't getting it done.

they SORT OF are: Constantine, V for Vendetta, and Watchmen were all solid films

and if you're like me and can enjoy a movie based on visuals alone: Superman Returns

plus we have Nolan's Superman on the way as well as Green Lantern

so I wouldn't say Batman is all DC has going for them

Pretty sure DCE was only started either beginning of this year or last year. If that's the case, then only the Losers, Jonah Hex, Watchmen and TDK(all that I can think of)is all they released under their new title. Not a good track record IMHO.

I don't know what the problem is, I think the trailer looks fine. It's no Dark Knight but it was never meant to be.

I have my problems with the movie, Hex's eye, Gattling guns{sp?} on a horse... But I still think it's going to be a fun movie and in the end that's all that matters to me.

I just think it's a bit premature to call it a flop so soon, It's not even out yet.

That just my opinion anyway. :yay:

Is that a Southern accent Fox is using? A Western accent? A Texas accent?

I speak all three and I don't know what she's doing.

:doom: :doom: :doom:

DC Entertainment was started in September 2009 I'm pretty sure, which is after the release of The Dark Knight and Watchmen. It's also after Jonah Hex and The Losers had begun production. So Green Lantern might be their first.

My dad called me and said, "we going to see this, boy." He collected the comics back in the day.

yea i am still not going to knock the film to i see it myslf. But hopefully with gl, batman 3, and new superman, hopefully things will get on track for wb.

I started reading the Justin Gray and Jimmy Palmiotti JONAH HEX series recently and am loving it. Classic done-in-one western stories.

I don’t think I’ll be seeing the HEX movie though, despite what looks like another fantastic performance from Josh Brolin. I don’t like the mystical powers that they have given Hex – it’s clearly an example of Hollywood being scared to do a traditional western, and not getting that comic books don’t have to be “comic-booky”.

The one thing that may tempt me to check it out would be the performances, since a movie with Brolin, John Malkovich and Gob Bluth cannot be all bad. The one character I’m most excited about though is Michael Fassbender’s Burke, looking like he just stepped off the set of A CLOCKWORK ORANGE. He looks like he really let loose and had a lot of fun with this role. Fassbender, in my humble opinion, is also the guy that Warner Bros and EON should be looking to when it comes time to cast Green Arrow and a new James Bond, respectively.

I think it may have been a good idea to have Megan Fox play the great Tallulah Black character from the recent comics, since that’s a role I can see her doing a really good job with. Due to that character having a mug that’s been carved-up as much as Jonah Hex’s, it could lead to her to be recognised as a more able actor than what she is generally seen as, i.e. playing the ‘hot piece of ass’ character in Michael Bay movies.

There’s my 2cents, ya sons-a-*****es.

well according to early reviews, he doesn't actually have those powers, it's just a myth. Going to have to see for myself how this one plays out

^well from what I've heard theres a scene with three old men telling stories about hex or something, i guess they have like flashbacks to what the stories detail.

They're finally doing what they should've done years ago... GL next year, Batman and Superman in 2012, and apparently they're moving forward with Wonder Woman, Flash, and Aquaman, so maybe 2013-14 for those.

DC movies like Jonah Hex are just bonuses to me.

yea i just hope they will do the right things for these dc characters. i may not read dc and all that, but i want to see them have their fair share shots on big screen too like marvel(licensed out/solo produced films).

This looks like a fun campy action movie which IMO is worth a watch just for the cast alone.

With the negative publicity that has come out and the fact that it's been paired up against Toy Story 3 it seems destined though to be a disappointment at the box office. But part of me hopes that it succeeds because that can only be a good thing for future DC adaptations.

One of the positive aspects of Hex is highlighted on the cover of the new issue for MAKE-UP Artist magazine (Issue No. 84 May / June 2010).

This post couldnt sum up my feelings on this movie any more perfectly than it has, Fox as TB would have been great as well, because we would have actually seen her act.
