I've been seeing commercials for the past month, and nary a one has had the rating until this one I just saw. I guess they had to cut that scene where Megan Fox goes down on Hex. :csad:

Whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaat?!!!!!!!:wow:

I'm just ****ing with you.

yea we known it being pg 13 for months now unofficially and like others have pointed out before pg 13 isnt really a bad thing. There is alot of things they can do in pg 13 films now.

i dont think this film will be a hit, infact i figure this is going to be as popular as league of extraodinary gentlemen and wild wild west

I was at the bar last night and when they showed the trailer on one of the tv screens my buddy (who's not as hardcore of a fan of superhero/sci fi but decently educated on it) commented how the movie looks like a total flop and Megan's fake southern accent sounds like crap

pretty much hit the nail on the head

jondoe those scans were posted on the previous page. As for the film sure its not going to make spidey/ironman figures. But it could still be a modest hit.

Maybe attending. Change RSVP.

Doesn't give me much hope for this. I'm kind of bummed that this will be the WB's first big DC feature that isn't Superman or Batman.

Just saw a TV spot for it on MTV. The rating is...

PG-13.

I have just this to say to you guys:

yah i know, i was the 1 one who post it, i just repost it because i thought no one saw it coz no one made a comment now i realize no one cares coz pretty much everyone here expects it to fail... which is sad.. i keep praying i hope at least its decent fun ala the losers. I just want it to succeed even as a modest hit so that wb/dce will make more dc character films but i guess its better to have less mediocre film adaptations and have more quality adaptations ala TDK/watchmen.

i LOVE the gray/palmiotti JH current series so...

jonah hex please don't let me down... :csad:

sorry, but Hex IS going to let you down, in the biggest way. I like the comment someone made earlier about this movie "having flop written on it in permanent marker". ****, this movie has flop written, painted, stapled, nailed, glued and cemented on it

I'll even go as far as to ask a couple of classmates today if they're interested in seeing it. I am 99.9% positive, they're going to say no. I bet ya

just wait, I'll be back in this thread later today to let you know what they said

well yea its not likely it will be a big box office success, but there is the chance it can still do modest amount and at least make back its production costs and all that.

WB would probably be darn happy, considering budget, if Jonah Hex did League of Extraordinary Gentlement money. They'd be ecstatic if it opened like Wild, Wild West.

Thanks, man.

Your welcome. :woot: Well, at least someone appreciated my post/scans. :hehe:

And if the film does flops, i still have the gray/palmiotti comics run of JH, the dc showcase short of JH and the OGN JH No Way Back. :awesome:

I couldnt be less excited about this movie at the moment, just found out it doesnt come out until September here in the UK also.

I recently got this "western fever" and started collecting films, series and I was looking for comics. Any recommendations of JH TPB's?

As I was watching a trailer for Jonah Hex last night I realized:

"Damn....Has it really been 25 years since Josh Brolin was in The Goonies?"

25 years later, Brolin is one of Hollywood's top actors. If this film fails (which is likely), Brolin still has like three other movies (Wall Street 2, True Grit and the new Woody Allen Movie) coming out later this year, so it's not like Jonah Hex will be the only time we see him this year, and besides, he could end up with an Oscar nomination for one of the other three movies he's in this year. He'll be fine, career-wise. I don't know if the same can be said for Megan Fox though.

Awww man...Just saw a trailer for this.

I probably only read about 10 Jonah Hex comics in my life....but I don't remember it feeling anything like that trailer. The Megan Fox character feels like it is going to ruin everything. It came off as too "jokey". Dare I say "Wild Wild West"? I was expecting something more like the old Clint Eastwood characters.

I'm going to be highly disappointed if this isn't good. :(

I just saw the trailer in theatres. Man, it really looks like they missed the mark here.

I just don't see why they had to use all the crazy sci-fi fantasy western **** for this movie. I get its based on a comic book and all, but the movie looks ****ing ridiculous. It does look like Wild Wild West. Like I mean, I have no idea why Jonah Hex is pulling out ****ing gatling guns. Even in his animated appearances he never used that stuff.

I like Josh Brolin. Brolin's a good performer and this role will hardly destroy his career because this movie is pretty much DOA. But I dunno, he just doesn't look comfortable at all in this character. He just seems a little off and not really just fitting into the character and the makeup.
