The girl in the drawing is ugly as sin (even for a cartoon) and you're going to say (and I know it's just because she's showing a little leg which is getting your nerdmones in a rage), that this drawing is hotter than Megan Fox? (and no I'm not a fox worshiper) but come back to reality man, seriously.

I don't understand why WB thinks they can get away with this BS. Why not just make a good film that people will want to see? Things like this sabotage other character movies because they see this and say "Hey, Jonah Hex didn't do well, Flash won't do well either".

I wouldn't say that. There's already more hype and promoting being done for Green Lantern than was for Hex

when did you see on set pics, updates, etc. for Hex? I sure as hell didn't, hell, they didn't even start promoting this till the last minute

Isn't Green Lantern getting an animated series on television when the movie gets released? I heard rumors about that and a tie in DVD as well

not sure how true those are though but Green Lantern already feels bigger than Hex and it's not even done filming yet

plus, Green Lantern is a far more popular character with a million more fans than Hex ever will have

so yea........I will bet my life on the notion that GL will do much greater than Hex

They should have just took some old Hex issue and adapt it into a script. No magic ********, no Wild Wild West ****, add a capable director and they would have had a decent to good gritty western. ****ing Hollywood, I say.

Damn! I was really hoping that this film wouldn’t totally suck. But alas, JONAH HEX does. Without a doubt, this is the worst comic book adaptation we’ve seen since the gosh-awful CATWOMAN back in 2004.
In short, JONAH HEX is about a former Confederate solder (Josh Brolin) turned bounty hunter who is out seeking vengeance for the murder of his wife and young son. The man behind the murders is Quentin Turnbull (John Malkovich), a former colonel in the Confederate army who in turns blames Jonah Hex for the death of his own son during the Civil War. Some ten years later and on the eve of America’s centennial celebration, Turnbull has got his hands on a weapon of mass destruction and plans to destroy the United States.
When it comes to reviewing this film, I’m almost at a loss for words here. I mean, it’s bad. Really, REALLY bad.
The performance are horrible, Josh Brolin’s makeup looks fake and cheesy, and the plot is a rehash of something we’ve seen in about a thousand previous films. Come on Malkovich, you just mailed it in here! And to think this cat was once considered one of the best actors working in Hollywood. And as far as Megan Fox is concerned, her days have to be numbered. Yes she’s hot, but she can’t act. At some point -- and I think we’re about to get their with Ms. Fox -- being the super-hot girl in a film ain’t going to work no more. You know what I mean?
The only positive thing I can say about JONAH HEX is that it’s runtime is only about 80 minutes.
I’m not going to waste your time here, OK? This movie is just flat-out terrible. Though the film is based on a comic book, most folks who see it won’t realize that fact. Thank goodness Jonah Hex doesn’t wear tights and a cape. The last thing we need is for the mainstream audience to identify this mess as a “Superhero Film.” Frankly, it’s an embarrassment to the genre.
This is a movie you go see simply to make fun of it.

why would the quality of hex compared to gl. When different writers, directors, producers are on it and all that. Also we got to remember hex and losers were made prior to the change in dc comics to dc entertainment. With gl being the first film under that control and all that.

^well that solves the mystery as to why both films were so poorly made and accepted. They were just rushing them out to get them out of the way, because it's apparant everyone behind the films couldn't have cared less about them
