It finished at # 8 this weekend which is like Punisher:Warzone bad.

I'm not surprised the movie tanked because it looked awful but I didn't expect it to tank this badly.

I think this movie hurts Megan Fox's career the most because of the overexsposer. Josh Brolin is a good actor so he'll continue to get work in small actually good films. I actually feel sorry for Fox, I mean she isn't very talented but her and her handlers are killing her career by focusing too much on her looks. Hopefully she goes away for a few years and takes tons of acting lessons then comes back in a movie which she doesn't play the sexy character.

The movie had very bad marketing just like Punisher Warzone, and similar to TIH. Barely anyone has even heard of it, despite Fox being in it. Then they release it right between Toy Story 3 and Twilight 3...........it's like they wanted it to fail.

Jennifer's Body and now this, i really don't think Fox had a career to begin with. The only reason she's anything is because of Transformers; but a movie like that could cast anybody, and they'd be tossed into stardom simply because the franchise has that kinda weight. She's a fad, just like Jessica Alba and Jessica Biel were a few years back. Pretty faces come and go...i see her star dimming quickly...

I do think that she is just another Jessica Alba but if she learns how to act she can have some simbalence of a career. I wonder who the next "it girl" will be?

I really liked the movie myself, but it did seem like the whole first act of the movie was missing. If I would have came in right after the opening credits at home I would have thought I had missed part of the movie. And I don't think the movie had a Wild Wild West feel at all, the Gatling(spelling) guns where a little over the top but I thought everything else was fine.

especially if you consider her being replaced in TF3, that's doesn't exactly bode well for her after these past two flops. Pretty much, if TF3 is a huge success, it won't really reflect that well on her and we can pretty much say goodbye to Ms. Fox

my prediction at least

Even if Transformers isn't a huge hit (it will be) she will not be helped at all because she still has two sub 7 million openers to her name. And yes I read that she isn't in Hex that much but the studio pushed her hard in the adds and had her name on the poster.

to bad it bombed. It would have been nice if it did better. AS i said the other day, hopefully a director's cut of the film could help it out on dvd/bluray release. Then of course i hope this doesnt turn wb/dc entertainment away from doing characters like hex with it bombing.

I was actually surprised how little she was in the movie. And they even make her out to be important to Jonah, which they seem to have left out why she is.

So it wasn't Ghost Rider/bad but PW/bad. Wow. Thanks a lot WB.

I would actually compair it more to Ghost Rider except about 30 minutes of the movie seems to be missing. And as for other minor DC characters being considered for movies, I wouldn't hold out much hope considering they don't even want to do another GL or Woner Woman animated film considering they didn't perform upfront like they wanted them to.

This was one of the worst movies I have ever seen.

I lost interest in seeing it when I saw the trailer that said that Jonah had supernatural powers.

One of the best decisions you will ever make in this life.

I cannot believe I paid $10 and sat through that abomination. Holy Mother of God. Honestly, my head feels like someone is driving nails into my temples.

Ohwell... We will always have that episode in Batman...

Jimmy Hayward is probably going to stay low for a long time. I can see him pulling a 'Tarsem' and come back out of no where in a couple of years with another film (most likely animated)

Yeah, I think I'll wait and watch it online when they get it and save my money.

why would you feel sorry for her?

by watching her interviews it is clear that she doesnt want to be an actress but a movie hollywood star. a name in hollywood that gets money by going to talkshows, magazines photoshoots,.....

her focus is always on her look. she always poses and shows her tounge. nothing wrong with that. but this is what she wants to be IMO .

one of the rumors why she got fired from TF3 was also because of her new plastic surgery. the new pics are proof that its true because her face looks strange and different. i also wouldnt be suprised that she is hard to work with.

Shouldnt these movies that wont make much money get released early in the year? (Like Street Fighter or Dragonball last year)

So they were actually expecting this to be a big hit?

And the marketing is awful. No one around me knows this movie is out

I believe this is the summer WB got behind on because of the writer's strike.

I don't think the marketing is bad...there are plenty of commercials for it out there....it's the press on the storyline that is keeping people away.

My wife is a comic fan...she read Jonah Hex comics in the 70's and 80's like I did....when we saw the preview and Jonah was talking to dead people she said "What's this ****?"....then the trailer had Fox speaking in the worst voice and accent imaginable, and my wife said to me "If you want to go see this...go ahead, but I'm not wasting my time on it."

People who knew nothing about Hex saw the previews and started thinking "Ok, a decent looking western."....then they saw more of the preview and said "Oh.....a horror movie disguised as a western with terrible acting..."

And the Jonah Hex DC Showcase short.
