I like Lex and he has to be darker. I hope they bring back Kitty because she was a great and thought she was hot! I've seen Posey in other films and didn't like her much but they made her look great in SR....too bad Lois didn't look as good as her.

I thought it was the other way around. But I think they should both get straight hair for the sequel to look better.

The whole poofy classic look isnt doing it.

I dont think Kitty will be in it though unfortunately. Parker said she hasnt been asked to return yet.

^ But isn't she stuck on the island with Lex?

Excuse me, but, WHAT COLOSUS? He had the same screentime in X2, and dont even get me started on the rest. And the action was **** and worthless because the characters were so far removed from both the previous movies and the comics.

You may think its the best of the trilogy, but me and MANY others think it is one of the WORST CB movies ever.

Agreed. X3 was horrid on all levels.

Some of the "analysis" of the Returns Sequel reports is just comical.

Singer's desperate! LOL! He read about Horn's comments on one of the Hollywood tabloid sites and rushed to New York to meet Spacey! OMG, LOL!!

Really, people.

This is nothing more than the natural progression of this film getting made. Singer is keeping busy with multiple ongoing projects, which is typical of him. In the meantime, he & crew realize they need to eventually produce something tangible to present to Warner, so they're getting it done whenever time permits.

The fact that he's getting ready to make a presentation to the studio indicates they're close to completion with a semi-mature screenplay/script. They're well aware of the basic direction this film needs to take, what the main criticisms were, and will take all of it into account.

"Wrath of Khan" indicates as much.

And no, the next one won't involve anymore Lex real-estate scandals.

Im sure they got off that island ages ago prior to the film. MoS has to be taking place 2 or so years later if anything.

I'd prefer if Kitty were in this because there was that whole issue in SR where she threw Lex's stolen crystals onto NK.

Superman still believes Lex has the remaining crystals; so that would need to be dealt with.

Lex is more than just a villian; hes an important supporting character to Superman; just as important as Lois, Jimmy and Perry.

Completely leaving him out of the film would be a bad move.

Agreed, i'm glad he's coming back.

What happened to all the Fantastic Four fanboys around here? Some of those predictions about Silver Surfer's success were amusing.

This place used to be littered with them.

Dunno if its been mentioned; but this around the time we found out ledger was cast last year.

Lex Luther agian????? Are you kidding me? How many Superman movies has there been with out this guy? Honestly, they need to get someone superman can actually fight. Maybe this movie will be like Superman 2 in which Lex is in league with the super powered bad guy. Oh boy, im just tired of seeing this character in every damn superman film.

I doubt Luthor will take center stage as the main villain this time around.

They seem to realize something fresh is in order, judging by interviews.

What does Fantastic Four 2's failure have to do with SR?

Absolutely nothing. It just brings a chuckle considering the volume of trash that was thrown around about S-Returns, it's doomed future given the Box, and how FF-2 would blow it out of the water.

Oh well. Guess their current silence makes sense.

The only difference is when Ledger was cast there was an official WB press release 3-4 days later to announce the movie... let´s wait for the press release on this one...

Not to mention Ledger was not already contractually obligated to be in the movie and wasn't simply having lunch with a close friend to discuss his plans for it :cwink:

Me and my friends (other real superman fans) are content to wait until we have kids and they are grown up before we see a real Superman movie. It will be a pleasure to take them to the theatre.
Probably 10-15 years I think we'll probably get a Chris Nolan/Raimi esque Superman film thats true to the material and satisfys fans/critics/general public alike.
Thats of course if WB indeed goes along with Singers vision and makes 2 more weird vague watered down vague sequels with Superson.
Ahh actually can't wait for the summer 2020.
See ya then Supe fans.

:)

Precisely... we already knew that in case Singer does another Superman, Kevin Spacey will be Luthor... now let´s see if Singer does it. That´s the real question. Waiting still for the press release...

Unbelievable! Can we get ONE Superman movie without the stupid conman Lex Luthor?! I wouldn't mind one bit if they had the Luthor from the cartoon in there, hell, even the one from Smallville will do.

Thats a very cool I idea. :woot:
It could be like Roger Rabbit and have animated Luthor interacting with live action. At least that Luthor is a Genius with Plans beyond Ugly Real Estate plus animated Luthur has a great voice.
They should just rip him from the scenes of JLU season 2. Best DC cartoon ever.

I do find it interesting they say "plays to direct" or whatever the words are; its interesting because he is contractually obligated to do it yet they dont sound so sure.

I think it's great luther is returning...but I'll only like it if Brainiac or some SUPER-POWERED villain also has the spotlight.

I sure hope it's not Zod....sigh
It would be OK...but there are so many other better villains out there.

i don't recall seeing Colossus in full metal in X-2 (maybe he was during the attack on the school. been awhile since i've seen the movie). even if he was, he was a throw away character in X-2. in X-3, they actually used the fastball special - straight from the comics. the action in X-3 was fine. there was actual fighting instead of dodging missiles or blowing up cars. power-wise, Storm was better realized and utilized than she had been in the first two movies.

this may come as a shock to you, but my opinion isn't dependent on yours. all that matters is that i have my own and that i'm able to explain and support it.
