The Official LittleBigPlanet Thread

if you can hook up a switch to a light then use can make a device to turn it on and off fast. not sure if you've got that option and i'm not booting it up just to check.

if you can you'd put a magentic switch on a spinning wheel that goes past a magnetic key and make the wheel rotate real fast.

I would use a similar method, but using a piston instead of a wheel.

i prefer wheels myself. pistons tend to change speed as they extend. fast moving ones often break.

Thanks,I'll try that.I have'nt used the Magnetic Switch yet.

So just for clarification, the LBP God of War pack isnt like the MGS pack, theres no extra levels, just costumes and stickers?

I have got to get this game. It looks addicting as hell, which is what I need right now.

ADDICTIVE!!!!!!!!!!!!

No a dig at you, but this seems to be a widespread problem. Sort it everyone, its getting on my t*ts.

As for LBP, I did my first level, Crystal Amazing, based on the Crystal Maze Tv show. It's nails, but give it a go.

Now I've got the hang of it I'll go for something more complicated.

How will they ever make a sequel? Surely they'll make more money out of constant DLC?

People saying addicting.

I'm sorry it really annoys me. Its built up over matter of time. There's only two things that cut to the core of my rage and that's "addicting" and Johnny Depp casting calls.

I'll keep my objections internal from now on. Apologies.

Sorry, I guess it's just addicting saying it. :oldrazz::cwink: J/k man.

I thought about how they would make a sequel during school today. Maybe you could create an entire 3D city, but that might be a bit too big.

Im sure you guys have heard, but for those who hadnt, Little Big Planet took the overall console Game of the Year award from the Academy of Interactive Arts and Sciences at this years DICE summit. The AIAS is the closes thing videogames have to the Oscars, so congrats to LBP!

That does seem like a logical step, but would it still me LBP if they did that? As long as the don't go sandbox with it I'll be happy.

as much as mario 64 was still mario i guess. levels wouldn't be huge playgrounds more like hubs i'd guess so they can be downloaded quickly like the 2d ones.

it has to keep all the physical interactions in memory aswell so that'd constrain level size.

how they deal with multiplayer would be tricky since i can't think of that many 3d platformers with 2 player let alone 4 player. and then there's the old judging jumps in 3d problem.

Only thing I don't like is that because its 2D, it's hard to tell where you're positioned and sometimes Sackboy will keep going back to the center. Makes it a ***** if you're trying to grab something from all the way in the back.

Other than that small complaint, I'm loving this. Sackboy is so cute.
