The Official LittleBigPlanet Thread

Only thing I don't like is that because its 2D, it's hard to tell where you're positioned and sometimes Sackboy will keep going back to the center. Makes it a ***** if you're trying to grab something from all the way in the back.

Other than that small complaint, I'm loving this. Sackboy is so cute.

Yeah, hard to tell what plane you're on sometimes

Big update coming soon:

Sniff the Yarg

Hello everyone, we have some very exciting news and I can’t wait to tell you all about it!

My apologies for the delay, we have been working very hard for the last few months to get our new patch codenamed Cornish Yarg ready for release, and trust us on this…it’s been epic! There are some very exciting new features that we can’t wait to get out to everyone, including:

A super awesome set of 5 new tutorials in “Create Pack 1”! These tutorials unlock some lovely new creative tools to play about with and help you make even cooler levels. The new tools are as follows:

Infinite lives checkpoint

Visibility tweak option on certain joint objects (to hide these in Play mode)

Global settings object (to trigger lighting changes)

Tetherless jetpack

Angle range proximity switch (additional functionality on proximity and magnetic key switches)

IME text chat support for Korean and Japanese

Some nifty profile managing tools and menus for better profile management when receiving community objects and photos.

A very sleek music player which is available to use while in create mode, meaning you can listen to your own MP3s while you make!

Advanced Sackboy customisation mode to help you decorate all those hard to reach places

Anton’s sweated blood to try to fix the level loading issues some of you may have experienced, so if you have a broken level, why not give it another go?
So…we have just entered the final stages of testing where we’ll need to get the official stamp of approval before releasing it into the wild…so hold tight, it’ll be with everyone very soon.

NICE.. It's great to see some new create tools other than sticker packs.

Is this going to be released on the PSstore? Because i got the automatic update the other day and I don't see any of this.

Its a patch, so it most likely wont be released on the PSN. When its available, to access it, all you will have to do is load up LBP and a message telling you that the latest patch is available for download

FINALLY bought LBP lol. Anything I say you guys have prob already discussed 100x. It definitely is a brilliant game tho. The way the story mode unlocks items and subtely teaches you how to create items is amazing. I created my first level earlier today (City of the dead under my name if anyone wants to try), and there were certain things I couldn't get just right. Then I played some more story mode and looked around at the items they created and things just became so much clearer.

Beyond that.....it's just a solid platformer, and mean that in the best way. It's not just a creative tool, it's a solid, fun platformer too. Really happy with this purchase.

I've had LBP for months and I still havn't created my own level!

Can't wait to get the Monkey King costume on the 16th.

It's the Japanese design a costume winner. It's supposed to be available today, but it's currently not in th UK. There's an Egyptian and Norse costume/sticker pack on the way too.

Me and my friend were discussing about how Wii has the Mario Cart game and my friend was thinking how cool would it be if Littlebig Planet came out with a game just like Mario Cart. I mean how awesome would it be you can have
Sackboy Solid Snake Sackboy Kratos Sackboy Nariko Sackgirl and Nathan Drake Sackboy and Nathan Hale Sackboy
I would definitely buy that.

I got the monkey King costume today.....haven`t played the game with him....

Can anyone tell me how to place floating score bubbles? The only way I know to position them in the air is by attatching dark matter, but then you can't travel through them when you collect them. I'm trying to create rows of them in the air through a series of swings to lead you in the right direction,

Attach them with string to something above...?

I thought about that, but my level is practically all swings and that'd get in the way.

Hello all,

I've been reading message boards on this site for some time now, and I usually read up on topic's that help me with an issue or to just be to be " in the loop" on games, movies ect... but after awhile of waiting I finally bought a PS3, as well as a HDTV 1080p to maximize game play. "Little Big Planet" was the first games I bought for my PS3 and "Prince of Persia" was the second, both are awesome games that will keep me busy while here in Korea (nice place but boring at the same time) LBP is the first game that has every gotten me so excited I had to read about it every day at work to before I played it.

I was in the mood to play LBP for the first time in awhile since I've been sidetracked with other games. Decided I'd finally pick up the MGS pack....what a difference the paintinator makes...It just opens up so many new options. Especially now that enemies can fire plasma balls back.

I spent the day making my 3rd level, and things went much smoother this time (first 2 I had to do a LOT of going back and fixing errors). It's Monster City under my name if anyone wants to try it, nothing special, but was fun to make.

Also saw someone on my friends list playing a dragon map, so thought I'd try it (something like Dragon Wars), and it was amazing. Some ppl have a tremendous amount of skill in making levels for this game. I was also VERY impressed with one where your inside a TV and it's B&W, and you run as a monster chases you.
