I know I completely suck for not getting this game already, but with the GOTY edition coming out soon enough should I just wait for that?

Depends on what's included...if stuff like the Metal Gear paintenator gun or the tetherless jet pack are included, definitely. If it's just stickers, maybe not so much. Do we know yet what DLC is included in the new edition yet?

Looks like it will just be costumes and stickers. Apparently no levels or anything. Not too surprised, but a little disappointed.

Ok, so I have had LittleBigPlanet since Christmas. I've been doing the story mode for a while and I haven't gotten very far (I mostly do online). I have finished every level that I can do, but the rest are locked. What do I do? Do I have to get a certain percentage of 'unlockables' before these levels are unlocked?

It's been pissing me off that I can't get anywhere in the stories, because it's hard to make levels when I don't have very many stickers or 'goodies'.

Levels open up one at a time, as you complete them (linear). I would recommend starting at the beginning and playing offline - then you can work your way up to the ones that give you difficulty. (A level also gets unlocked on your moon if you play through it online with someone who has already "earned" their way to it)

Also, I don't know if you know this already but if you do the tutorials in "create" mode you open up all sorts of level-making goodies.

I made a fun race level today called Planet Zung Race. The level is much more fun if you play it with other people but playing on your own is still fun and addicting to get a high-score.

Also please check out my Hellfire level as I have made some changes to it and fixed some bugs and glitches.

are the games supposed to be connected? I thought it was its own seperate entity with no cross compatibility among any of the content. Am I wrong bc I havent been following up on it much

Nothing is confirmed.

Marvel showed off three concept renders of Sackboys that may be coming to the PlayStation 3 exclusive, but did not offer dates for the costumes, nor confirm that this would be the extent of the Marvel characters that would be licensed for LittleBigPlanet use.
