Looks like the Pirates of the Caribbean may be the next official themed level pack, which would make sense with the water stuff coming soon, as well:

Yesterday, a trophy tip-off presaged today's announcement of Borderlands' second DLC package. Well, there's another such leak today, showing 11 new trophies for LittleBigPlanet's Pirates of the Caribbean DLC and Water update. There are 2 silver and 9 bronze trophies becoming available with the new content, reports PS3Trophies.org. They will raise the total trophies to 70. Pricing and release date still are unknown.
Here's the list:
Bronze
• PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN Booty Master - Collect all of the PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN prize bubbles
• Beast Slayer - Destroy the KRAKEN boss
• Ace Port Royal - Ace Port Royal
• Ace Pirate Town - Ace Pirate Town
• Ace The Frigate - Ace The Frigate
• Ace Cursed Bay - Ace Cursed Bay
• Ace The Kraken!!! - Ace The Kraken!!!
• Tributary - Publish a level containing WATER
• Salty Dog - Complete 20 community leves that contain WATER
Silver
• HMS Interceptor - Complete the race in Cursed Bay with at least 4000 points left on the clock
• The Bends - Achieve a Score of 7000 in the Diving for Treasure Survival Challenge

Its about time they finally got a new level pack. It only took them what, almost a year?

I know, all they've been talking about for months is PSP.

I hope this means the Marvel Super Heroes content comes with levels too. Heck, they're both Disney now so why not?

It's good to see new official map packs, but I'm not a huge Pirates fan.

they'll just be pirate theme'd levels really with some small bits of text. any side scrolling shooter fan could have enjoyed the MSG pack.

I didn't say I wouldn't enjoy it, I sure I will, but the theme will still be Disney's Pirates of the Caribbean, which I don't care for. I would have been more interested in theme of just about any other franchise they've taken from, honestly

I'm kind of on the fence about buying this. I don't really have the patience or creativity to design levels myself. Probably a rhetorical question but can you download levels other people make?

Only if its not locked and most creators lock their levels bc of the time and effort they've put into it. For the most part, the way to play new levels is to do it while online

So you can play other people's levels, but not download them to your HDD? I can live with that.

I assume there's a way to keep track of your favorite levels.

Yeah, you can tag the levels you like by Hearting them. You can also tag creators you like so you can easily get to their levels

Totally a worthwhile purchase. I think I'll go play right now. :awesome:

Media Molecule has announced final details of its downloadable Pirates of the Caribbean level pack for PlayStation 3 hit LittleBigPlanet, answering almost every question about the game's new water, pricing, trophies, content and so much more. The new waterlogged Pirates of the Caribbean level pack will hit PlayStation 3s on December 22, priced at £4.79 or €5.99 or US $5.99 or AUS $ 9.95 or NZD $11.50, depending on what you've got in your wallet. And the pack comes with... deep breath... 5 new levels, 1 new costume, 4 new music tracks, 1 new level background, 8 materials, 14 decorations, 27 objects, 133 stickers and 11 new PlayStation Trophies.
That's 204 things! Less than $0.03 USD per thing!
There's a trailer down below, with a handy link to the official LittleBigPlanet web site that should answer most of your questions about how the addition of water affects your Sackboy. There are also new screenshots, artwork and a general feeling of warmth. Soak it in!

I'm loving this game, I have no idea if I'll ever have the patience to build a level, though. But it's a lot of fun messing around in the creator. I bought the GOTY edition, so I already had the MGS pack. I bought the PoTC pack last night, the water opens a lot of cool possibilities.

It is tough finding all of the items in the levels, and some of the later levels are pretty hard, especially to Ace.

You are going to need 3 other people to get everything. Thats going to get hard especially if some people have a tendency to die

I just bought the Pirates of the Caribbean Pack today and while I liked the theme a lot, I thought it was absurdly easy. I beat it, Aced it, and got almost all the trophies within a matter of hours and then waited for a friend so I could get the Booty Master trophy.

All I have to do now is just play 20 water Community levels.
