Realistically WB/Snyder are probably going to go for an up-and-comer and currently on the young "hot" list of actresses. Not too many I'd like for this role, but I'd be satisfied with Ashley Greene:

Zooey Deschanel is my top choice for Lois Lane.
She was born to play her!
She's smart, sassy and she's got a tiny bit of Margot Kidder in there. She just screams Lois!

My top 5 choices for Lois:

1-Zooey Deschanel
2-Anne Hathaway
3-Rachel Mc Adams
4-Emily Blunt
5-Michelle Monaghan

These 5 and Ashley Greene are the only one options that I like from all actresses suggested until now!

Zooey's too soft imo...not just looks wise, but the way she acts too. i was never really fond of her acting anyway. she's a cute girl, but that's all i make of her. also...mentioning Margot Kidder is a negative in my eyes, seeing as how they're trying to differentiate themselves from previous Superman movies.

I agree Deschanel is too cutesy for the role, but I've always thought she could be a good Lois if she were to overcome that.

Wait, you realize Amy Adams isn't actually a red-head, right? She's naturally blonde, which I know Lois isn't, but she's already had her hair dyed every color under the sun (except maybe black) and it looked fine in every instance.

That said, I agree that she's wrong for Lois.

The point is though, disqualifying actresses because of their current hair color is completely ridiculous, since that's truly something that changes all. the. time. in Hollywood. And it usually looks perfectly fine - unless they're naturally dark and dying their hair bleach blonde or something. *coughJessicaAlbacough*

Not to mention Lois has been depicted in various different ways, so saying someone is outright wrong when they're in the vicinity is an absurdly small view to take. Certainly open to interpretation within limit.

I'm gonna throw out a new name , Michell Borth of Hawaii 5-0 and the recently cancelled The Forgotten. She was born in 1978, and seems to be able to play all the sides of Lois including the snarky, tough, vunerable , and funny aspects. I doubt she'll audition, but I think she should .
