The more I think about it, I think Olivia Wilde would make a fantastic Lois.

She's really got the looks and the personality that's perfectly suited for Lois Lane.

I really think she'd nail it.

She could do lois, but I think she's better suited to catwoman. She has more of a sultry demeanor than cute and bubbly.

She definitely does not.

I agree with that, but she's never been that bubbly, mischievous, charismatic, "i dont know how to spell words but i'm too badass to care" woman that Lois is supposed to be. She has that bland voice and demeanor, which she was born with. And she is too hot and fragile looking to be this master troll that is Lois. In other words she looks and sounds like the hot but serious chick. She can act her way out of it, but the result will never be good. Others are just born with it like Teri Hatcher. I mean Erica Durance sucks as an actress but that Lois "thing" comes naturally to her.

They tend to make sucky suggestions, so yes I responded to it more in the past than I do now.
I do the same with your sucky suggestions :word:

Great :huh:

Except for the fact that you haven't.
Wikipedia says it best what a bombshell is;
"Bombshells are a special kind of sex symbol. Bombshells are popular icons recognized for their curves, sex appeal and larger than life personas"
You've not produced one bombshell.
:doh: Are you really looking at Wikipedia for the definition of a Bombshell? So, the people that you listed are bombshell, please explain

Where exactly are you living where these beautiful Hollywood starlets live next door?
You never heard the term "next door type girl"? That means, they look like regular ladies, don't have the WOW factor.

I'll repeat this again just because it seems hard for you to read;
"Bombshells are a special kind of sex symbol. Bombshells are popular icons recognized for their curves, sex appeal and larger than life personas"

Lilly and Greene are NOT bombshells. A bombshell is someone like Angelina Jolie, Monica Belluci, Penelope Cruz, Katy Perry, Nicole Sherzinger, Beyonce, etc;
Notice I'm not just naming actresses, but that's because there aren't that many bombshell actresses these days. I definitely see some up and coming bombshells, but Greene is definitely not one of them.
You are now making excuses by using the definition of a "bombshell" as some retort? Every single person that you mentioned on your list aren't bombshells........ well maybe Olivia Wilde...... but Amy Adams a bombshell are you serious? :facepalm:

I know what a bombshell is. I figured I'd share a definition of it with you as you don't seem to comprehend what a bombshell actually is.

I never said my choices were bombshells, doesn't mean they can't play or aren't right for the role. You are the one hooked onto the term.

I know the term well, I just disagree on them not having the WOW factor.

Dude, you're the one who keeps bringing up the word bombshell, as if it's some sort of requirement for the role. Looking back in the thread, seems posters who have mentioned the word bombshell actually don't think it's a necessity for Lois because it isn't. You get a sexy actress who can act and embody Lois onscreen and you got a winner. A bombshell, while would be a positive is not a requirement.

Omg, learn reading comprehension if you're going to continue anything please.

We can go on and on, but face it man, you are providing some boring regular popular choices.

Pick one, if you have to pick one out of your choices, who would it be?

On a side note, when I say Bombshell, I'm not looking at the definition for the term like you, I'm speaking in general where Lois Lane needs to be BEAUTIFUL with attitude (ex. Erica Durance). You look at her and we say "dammmnnnn she is hot, but be careful, she can hurt you if you get in her way). That is the type of woman that Superman needs. Your choices are yes Beautiful in their own way, but aren't the type of women to stand next to Superman, they are "damsels in distress" (EXCEPT FOR OLIVIA WILDE).

There is difference between this

And they all would work, you're just not liking them because they're nothing new for you to think about.

I don't have to pick one, that's what the casting department will do. I choose the actress that will have the best mixture of chemistry with whoever plays Supes, talent, and looks. Considering I won't get a chance to see which of my choices has the best chemistry with the actor who has yet to be cast as Superman, I can't honestly say who I'd want in the role.

And that is not a bombshell, that is just your basic, typical Hollywood actress.

As for the attitude, that falls under acting. Most the time, I could care less about an actress' attitude in the real world as long as the character she plays onscreen is the character.

Lois tends to be the damsel in distress. She may be tough, but she is who Superman saves at the end of the day. She's got attitude and would throw a punch yeah, but she wouldn't actually last if she started fighting any of Superman's villains. She's not this crime fighting vigilante which is what you seem to be looking for for some reason.

Here's my manip for my favorite Lois, Keri Russell:

She's already matured past her Felicity days and lost some of that innocent gaze. She's beautiful but not supermodel beautiful, very down to Earth as Lois should be. She can look both vulnerable and defiant, playful and funny (just look at some recent Youtube interviews).

Plus she's used to dealing with emotional conflicts in her roles and I'm sure she could pull off intrepid reporter. Don't cast a stunningly beautiful and hot Lois, that's just not someone Superman would fall in love with. It's Lois' flaws that make her so irresistibly human, and a perfect goddess face/body would just ruin that.

You know, if Rachel McAdams looks like this in the Superman movie, maybe, just maybe...... Damn she is beautiful, why doesn't she look like this in movies?

Greene has the best chance. Look at how they cast the leading ladies in Thor and GL, as well as Batman Begins... All up and coming young actresses.

She's so energetic and cute. I think she'd do fine as Lois.

I'd like Ashley as Lois, but I think that Olivia Wilde has a much better chance.

olivia should be thankful to be even considered for lois. It would also make her a known actor.

I don't hate Tron but it is s**t.

I think of it more as a ****ing complete waste of time, money and talent. Sure, the Daft Punk score was epic (was listening to it to and from church the other day). But Disney could have instead used that $200+ million they spent to make it and fed starving children or something.

I like Ashley Greene in terms of the name actresses, but the age thing is kinda a setback at 23. Ashley Greene seems to have that beauty and snark combo, at least in that interview.

I get a Lara vibe from Olivia Wilde more then Lois Lane. I dunno about MacAdams. She's a good actress and I like her ,but something about her doesn't sell me on Lois Lane .

Natalie Portman is not an up and coming actress at all, just look at how long her resume is. She's a proven actress.
Blake Lively has been on Gossip Girl for 3 years now and filmed popular movies for the tween-teen crowd in recent years.
Katie Holmes had Dawson's Creek and a number of movies under her belt.

Greene has 3 soon to be 5 Twilight movies, and that's it. She may be an up and comer, but until she does something noteworthy other than Twilight, she won't get her real break. Lois is not that role.
