Sinestro looks amazing

Glorious.

Yeah. I heard that we wouldn't get Yellow Sinestro until the third film.

Better that way. It gives a chance to actually develop him as a villain and see his motivation versus just having him be another bad guy for the hero to fight. Let's hope it gets to the third film and Strong still wants to do it.

I never got into the comics but comparing that pic to the Sinestro of the comics, this has to be hands down one of the most visually accurate depictions of a comic character, or villian at least. Of course it's just a guy with red skin in a green suit but Strong has the face and it looks great.

I think it would be a mistake not to make sinestro the main villain of the second.

Yeah, I'm not much of a GL fan and haven't been exposed to Sinestro. Only on occasion. But this is hands down one of the few moments where I've seen a comic book character just come alive from the page.

i'm gonna watch kickass again just for mark strong, i own it but i only saw it the once in theaters.

I would like it to be like Anakin's turn from Star Wars, but better of course. Each film you see hints of him changing sides.

It kind of makes sense to hold off on the arch rival until film 3 if you're planning to do a trilogy. Or else you have trouble topping yourself for the third film.

I think iron man 2 made that mistake. It was very underwhelming, something that could have been avoided had mandarin been in the second.

Yeah, I think the franchise model is getting a little out of hand. "No, we're saving that for the third movie!" Talk about counting your chickens before they hatch.

Sorry for this stupid question but someone said that Sinestro looks better than Hal because he's all CGI

Is Mark Strong only voicing Sinestro?

No, I believe he was in prosthetics and makeup from the neck up.

i belive the second one should have sinestros fall from grace and the thrid one him creating the sinestro crop.

I really doubt it. Iron Man 2 could have done way better with the villains it used. Hammer was made into a joke from the start and Whiplash is absent from an active villain role for most of the film. Nor is he an interesting enough villain in concept to hold a film all by himself, so making Hammer a joke while having no other villain really hurt the film. If they used another villain like Ghost it would have been way better but even just utilizing the villains it had effectively would have made it a more effective film. Even the IM1 villains were ultimately underwhelming and I don't think using Mandarin would somehow undo that treatment of the villains. I don't think they gave Whiplash a "blink and you'll miss it" final fight scene" just because he isn't the Mandarin.

My boss looks amazing. Calling him a villain though? It takes a lot to police the universe with balls and Green Lanterns just lack that.

FOR SINESTRO!
