My two playthroughs thus far have taken 35-40 hours. Level 50 the first game, all sides done. Level 54 with a new character on normal the second playthrough.

Next playthrough will be hardcore with a new character.

I let the Council live. They give you a choice of two people to become Council Members: Admiral Black guy or the other black guy who sells you out.

Yeah, well, there's Anderson voiced by Keith David, who I chose... and then the "politician" who was great and then became a woman half-way through the game.

I almost made an obtusely stereotypical comment... I avoided a big trap there. :D

I can't believe he was actually in Saints Row. He's probably the only black actor who can't talk "street". They might as well have used Anthony Hopkins.

I wish you made the Schwarzeneggerian connection sooner. It's made me enjoy the game much more. :D

Arnold's "Uauaguguaahgagauagahs" were finally not alone in the world. :D

They would have been better off with a loud-mouthed black-dude like Samuel L. Jackson. Keith David is too... James Earl Jones-y. Too eloquent.

Wasn't it so awesome at the end, when Shepard kicked out the elevator windows and stepped outside? It was an epic moment for sure.

I wanted to do that over and over again. The whole climbing the side of the Citadel thing....omg:up:.

I agree with you. That whole segment climbing the citadel where you could see souveriegn in the background attacthed to the citadel set the tone for the whole final act. What get s me is whats up with the Reapers
are they just big ass sentinent ships with mind control. I thought that it was going to transform into a big ass robot transformer style but it didn't. Thats was my only gripe with the game. Being attacked by a big ass ship just wasnt scary enough for me. it lacked personality. Saren was a bad ass though.

Saren and Sovereign aren't supposed to be traditional bad guys. And the game doesn't fall apart because of that - it actually shines far brighter as a result.

Uh... spoilers, just in case.

Both are very much supposed to be bogeymen. Saren, especially, and right from the start. There's a reason that Shepard doesn't meet him until Virmire (or, technically, the Council's meeting, but it doesn't totally count). The geth are his hand, and they're bad enough. The true terror of Saren isn't Saren in the physical, but his plans and thoughts and pursuits.

And it's the same for Sovereign. Technically, Sovereign's the first "bad guy" we see, even before Saren, when Joker plays the Eden Prime video while onboard the Normandy. We just don't know anything about it until either Noveria (I think Benezia says something about it) or Feros. And even then, details are far from there. Sovereign isn't supposed to be a fleshed-out villain, as Saren isn't. Bogeymen, and in Sovereign's case, representing the vanguard of something far more terrible and sinister.

your right it doesnt ruin the game.Mass effect is the best game i've played all year. I just hope the reapers turn out to be more than
big ass war ships, i think i just want something for my human sized shepard to be able to fight. I hope sovereign was just a vanguard or a herald for what the reapers actually are.

I'm pretty sure all of the Reapers aren't just ships. I can see geth-like Reapers probably being a possibility as well, as it would be hard to kill off all civilization as just an armada of ships.

He doesn't look very white to me. He looks border-line black and sounds just a wee bit middle-eastern.

I suppose Ambassador Udina would indeed seem white if you put the color rating on the television so high that everything looked white.

White, indeed! Just like at point of death and journey into the afterlife!
