The Official Michael Rosenbaum Thread

It certainly makes the limbo scene in Lazarus an awesome bookend now that it will be fully realized in Finale. It would have been even more potent without any clone stuff.

I loved the clone stuff. Especially the clone complaining to Clark about "pride" in Lazarus. It was nice to have the Lex character and presence back to fill the Lex void. Hell, I was even excited about Vader Lex in season 8 before it was revealed he was merely there for the terrible Lana business.

But now that Michael Rosenbaum is coming back, I really didn't need all that Clone Lex stuff. The limbo scene in Lazarus could've been so much better wondering what it was all about. Everyone I talk to just assumed it was about the clones. Now those people going to need an explanation from me that it wasn't about the clones.

That article was posted the other day in the michael returns or spoiler thread. But it does confirm to us that michael will wear bald cap. Can't wait to see how it all looks.

The CW's Official "Smallville" Press Release for Michael Rosenbaum Returns

MICHAEL ROSENBAUM RETURNS AS LEX LUTHOR FOR THE SMALLVILLE SERIES FINALE

Michael Rosenbaum will reprise his role as Lex Luthor in the series finale of SMALLVILLE on Friday, May 13 (8:00-10:00 p.m. ET.)

"I'm delighted to return for the series finale," says Rosenbaum. "I'm simply doing it for all of the fans out there who made SMALLVILLE the great success it is. I appreciate all of their passion, their relentlessness and even their threats. Ha ha. I can't wait to hug the old crew back in Vancouver one last time and see all of my old friends once again. Oh, and for Lex to become the badass he's destined to be."

Executive producers Brian Peterson and Kelly Souders added, "It feels like the stars are aligning, literally. We couldn't be more excited about having Michael back. And as far as the way he returns, there'll be no doubt about how Lex becomes the great rival in Clark Kent's life. He is the villain of the story."

Rosenbaum exited at the end of season seven after Lex confronted Clark (Tom Welling) in the Fortress of Solitude. Years of secrets came to a head as Clark's former friend finally discovered the truth about Clark's alien heritage. The rivalry between the two culminated into a final showdown and crumbled, literally, under an icy avalanche as the Fortress fell. Lex's body was never found. Now, Lex has risen from the ashes to fulfill his place in destiny as Clark Kent's greatest nemesis.

SMALLVILLE was developed for television by Alfred Gough & Miles Millar ("Shanghai Noon," "The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor"), based on the DC Comics characters. Kelly Souders & Brian Peterson serve as executive producers, along with James Marshall, Mike Tollin, Brian Robbins, Joe Davola and Tom Welling. The series is produced by Tollin/Robbins Productions, Millar/Gough Ink and Warner Bros. Television. SUPERMAN was created by Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster.

^ Nice job, Keith! Good read. I'm in complete agreement.

Thanks!

Awesome job so far Although...
Dude I can't believe you skipped Season 2 "Insurgence" that was a big Luthor episode .

Yeah. Actually, I had "Insurgence" on the list a while, but ultimately decided against it because it was more about the hired hitmen than Lex. True Lex hired them first, but he ultimately backed out and the hired thugs decided to take it upon themselves to break in and hold Lionel and Martha hostage.

Also the iconic moment from the ep is Clark's first super leap. So it was between that and Hourglass honestly. And Cassandra's vision was too iconic a Lex moment to ignore!

Thanks!

Like the column said, those are just my personal faves and not meant to be a definitive list by any means. To each his own!

Guess who's on the SMALLVILLE set right now? Good to see some familiar faces. What a day!!!!!!!!

Seems a bit early to be up there for the Finale, wonder if it's prep of some kind? Or is he coming back earlier than we've been told?

ya like i said i think he probably was there for makeup tests/early prep work probably. then probably stayed for a bit to watch some filming. like i said if any one here has twitter it would be nice if they could go ask michael and see if he replys with an answer.

i hope and pray he has alot of screentime in the 2hr finale. he deserves it. i wish they would of gotten micheal back for the final 4-5 episodes as well, not just the finale but oh well!

At least we got him for the finale. I kept on telling my wife wouldn't it be great if they brought back micheal for the last episode and now its happened this will be truly epic and can't wait. I can care less about the new superman movie right now this will be my sups movie.

ya i am sure since we know he is shooting finale part 2 right now, i would figure he has a good screen time amount probably within 10-14min range(probably like 3-4 scenes give or take).
