The Official Michael Rosenbaum Thread

The thing about those CW poster is that you can't really tell if they're fan made or not. I sort of want to believe that that's fan made, but since he's wearing that silly feather-looking jacket that was taken during the same time as Tom's infamous black jacket photoshoot from season 6, I wouldn't have a heard time believing the CW made it.

But I think its fan made since the official posters weren't in that color, and since the CW wouldn't tease or spoil his return if he's only in the finale.

But not this early. Doing it now will only make people tune in to see him and then be disappointed to learn that Lex is a "clone" played a young kid.

Not everyone is into reading spoilers.

I think its held its own without lex. We had alot of cool villains come in. And heck look even lois and clark superman took out lex in season one and he only appeared in a handful of episodes in rest of the seasons. And they had some good things at times.

:awesome:

The tag line should read "I AM THE VILLAIN OF THE STORY" :cwink:

That's a awesome pic. And I agree about the tag line

its Fan made, you can see it around his shoulders, whoever made it didnt smooth it out so now you get a blurry swipe there (merging the 2 pics)
To be fair, most of the CW stuff looks fan made anyway. :oldrazz::csad:

but yeah, it's fan made, or else it would've been on some sites already.

very true, but they wouldn't make a mistake like that..........just use obvious pictures lol like the one of Tom Welling having Brandon Routh as a shadow lol

Ya in genral all cw posters have been crappy made things at times, some yahoo intern probably did for them. Where as fan stuff was always ten times better looking. Heck wb days they had great promotional posters.

yea, the WB actually had season by season photoshoots.........CW is just recycling old ones over and over......its getting annoying.........but for me it wont be much longer, I plan to stop watching CW after Smallville........its the only reason I watch it now lol

Ya photoshoots where great, along with the many specific made posters for certain episodes.

yea like that the one where Lois was playing a stripper......still love that one lol

but seriously do they really think we would not notice them re-using old pictures??

Now that's a thought. We've had other previous Superman guest stars before. John Shea should've had a cameo. I wouldn't have minded if he even played the older, dying Lex clone. Not that he looks anything like Rosenbaum, but neither did the other guy.

the second I read this I had an awesome idea for how to include John Shea.

during the Finale, lets say that Michael Rosenbaum's return is the return of the real Lex, not a clone, Clark asks him how he survived and so we get some flashbacks as to how Lex lived after the Fortress was destroyed.

We see Lex in the snow and a old man comes to helps him, a few months go by and this old man is taking care of Lex, turns out this man knows full well who Lex is and has been keeping tabs on him.

A year goes by (taking place at the middle of Season 8) and Lex is now able to do things for himself, he sets up the Truck with a dying clone of his so when Oliver plants the bombs and "kills Lex", its shown to only be a clone who died and not Lex.

The old man is revealed to be John Shea, he still tries to help Lex out time and time again (this would be taking place during Season 9) but fails.

Lex gets frustrated with him, Shea tells him "let us work together, I know how to take down this alien, I have experience with this sort of thing".

Lex pulls a gun and points it at Shea and says "Sorry, you've lived out your usefulness......besides, I'm the villain of "THIS" story" *pulls the trigger*

:)

Interesting idea. John Shea isn't THAT old though. He could just be a man, and not an old man. He could've been included as Lionel Luthor's father though in those flashbacks in the earlier seasons.

Since Brandon Routh was on Chuck, and isn't doing much with his career, he could've also had a cameo. Tracy Scoggins would've been another one to include.
K Callan could've been Granny Goodness.

It would've been a massive coup if they managed to get Gene Hackman to guest star, but sadly, most of the former Superman guest stars have been those who didn't have much else to do with their lives.

lol
It's really sad how in that season 9 pic, they photoshopped Lois' head onto Lana's body from season 6. I mean, at use the same person's body.

For some reason, being an art major myself, this really upsets me when people who work for big companies can get away with choppy and lazy work like this. I guess they really are betting that the average person wouldn't pick it up.

....he's 61 lol, I'm not saying he'd be this really really really old man "oooh hello there sonny"....no not that type lol............tho he did actually play that kind of character when his Lex character returned and he went after Lois lol (complete with a wheelchair and bald cap lol)

Brandon Routh is actually in another comic book movie........set for April of this year.........with Sam Worthington (Jimmy from Superman Returns lol), He's playing Dylan Dog

If Routh was going to show up on the show it should have been at the end of season 6 and a few episodes in season 7.........Bizarro :)

Routh should have cameoed as alternative Clark Kent in Apocalypse.

Am I the only one that thinks Routh would have immediately shot down an offer to be on Smallville?

Wasn't that CK supposed to be what a child between Jonathan and Martha would have been?

I think it would've been too soon to have Routh in season 7 since technically he was still considered as the current Superman at the time, so any appearance would have probably just confused people or made it seem weird to see "Superman" in a world where Superman doesn't exist.

I had hoped Cillian Murphy could've played an alternate universe Clark Kent (one without super powers who was simply an earthling). He looks enough like Tom Welling to be able to pull it off. Other guest stars would've been Tim Daly and George Newbern. They would've been easy to cameo as some characters.

I would've liked to have seen Rosenbaum act opposite someone like John Shea in a scene. Another cheap alternative to big names like Gene Hackman or Kevin Spacey would be Clancy Brown (although he and Rosenbaum have already worked together before and even switched identities in the Justice League cartoon).
