Is it just me, or does Rorschach move kinda funny? He sways back and forth and has kind of a swagger. He sort of bounces around as he walks when he says "Maybe someone's picking off costumed heroes.". That doesn't seem like Rorschach to me. I always envisioned Rorschach as having a more stiff manner and stoic prescence to him, even at his most agile and his most brutal. Meh.

Good trailer but i must admit I liked the teaser more,it had more of a dark feel to it.

Agreed.

Plus the Smashing Punkins song was a better fit

Still it's a solid trailer and I had no problem with any of the characters voices.

Roschach sounds like how Alan Moore did when he did a reading of the book (it's on YOUTUBE if you want to see it) And I expected Dr. M to be clam in his delivery, very uncaring, apathic in his approach.

I'm not to keen on them using teh term Watchmen as oppose to 'Crimebusters' by it's no biggie, but i am a little concern.

All in all not a bad trailer.

Rorschach's voice doesn't work for me. Just too much emotion.
I always imagined it would sound lower, gruffer, slower and more like Dan Akroyd's character in Dragnet. Monotone. Cold. Sterile. To the Point. Just the facts.
I think the blackly comedic value of some of the Rorschach lines in the comic will be lost if there is too much emotion in the delivery.

Manhatten's voice needs more ambience or reverb at least.

Dan is pretty much spot on.

I just hope the overtly slick production techniques don't overshadow the depth and richness of the source material. But ho-hurmm.

This movie just keeps looking better and better with every new clip and trailer that comes out. I can't wait for this one. :woot:

Just saw this thing. Not bad. I liked Dan, he sounds more or less like I think he should. Did not care for the Rorschach overload, although he sounds cool as hell. Manhattan's angry cryout was awesome. Laurie was good as well, and I guess that devastating blue blast confirms the ending, eh?

Oh, and for the record, Muse rocks. And "Take A Bow" is a great track. If you don't like Muse, you deserve Tila Tequila. Don't blame the band for the poorly editing by the filmmakers :o

Loved it. I had no problems with Doc Manhattan's voice, and I'm really excited to see Nite Owl in action.

meh i thought doctor manhattan's voice would be deeper but everything else fits great can straight from the novel.

Really blown away by Doc Manhatten, I didn't think he'd look so good. Inever imagined him sounding so young, but it makes sense given that he's perpetually in his 20's. It'll be all th emore chilling if he's becoming disconnected from humanity yet still sounds human, other than the kind of monotonous robot kind of voice I gave him when reading the book, well, at points anyway. The 'Leave me alone!' bit was my fav from the trailer, brilliant.
I don't mind so much if they have set it up that there was a 'Watchmen' group after the Minutemen and the failed 'Crimebusters', maybe they are making out that the WM group came together just before, or because of, the riots. Actually scratch that, if Ozy is in there they would have to have been a little earlier formed than the riots, sound like a more long term team anyway. Regardless, it's an understandable adjustment for the general audience and won't make much of a difference to the story.

I can understand the squid being taken out too, for the longest time i wanted it in, but i am now thinking it might be a good move. For it to sit right alongside the realism of the story i needed the whole backstory of the missing writers and artists, as well as Veidt's exposition/explanation of the cloned brain , psychic emanations etc. something that may have been a bit much to take it, right at the end, in this scaled down adaption, and there may not have been enough time for the island, missing persons arc to sit in there right.

I hated this trailer it wasnt as impressive as the teaser, I didnt like Rorschach and Manhattan voices. Rorschach voice seems forced it sounded better and more gruffy in the teaser, and Dr Manhattan seemed unimpressive. I dont know I always imagined his voice to have a more alien and powerful tone behind it.

Did anyone else envision Rorschach's voice of being more like that of an idiot savant? Broken speech pattern with awkward pauses and tones? Kinda like Billy Bob Thorton in Sling Blade with a bit more sophistication.

What's with all the negativity? I mean come on. No graphic novel movie adaption or any superhero movie for that matter has to be perfect. I mean the only problem i had with the Dark Knight was Christian Bale's voice.

I didn't know Christian Bale was playing the voice of Rorschach. :oldrazz:

Seriously, this is a beautiful trailer...the music, the imagery, the dialogue...It's absolutely beautiful. I was PISSED when Quantum of Solace didn't include this trailer with there print. :csad:

I guess people aren't that impressed with the trailer because let's face it, the teaser was purely orgasmic shot after orgasmic shot, plus it was our first REAL peek at how the movie would look. Now that we've seen that, we expected greatness....I for one am satisfied with this trailer. Trailers hardly ever blow me away these days, anyway. Although the very first teaser did knock me off my feet.

A few complaints:

1. Dr.Manhattan's voice just sounds a little bit too normal for me. In the graphic novel I interpretted the blue speech balloons as Alan Moore telling us even his voice was inhuman. I dunno, I guess I was expecting something more alien and inhuman, maybe even an echo or something. Not a big deal but I wish it didn't sound so plain

2. The music. It was REALLY cool until the dialogue came. I would prefer if they put no dialogue into the trailer and just put epic music or something for the end (like immediate music).
And the song itself doesn't really work as well as Smashing Pumpkin's song (Which I must admit is FREAKIN PERFECT for the watchmen universe...it should be the watchmen theme song :D )

All in all though GREAT trailer. THe music was kind of annoying at the VERY end (I liked it without the dialogue) and it just looks so artsy and fun! I cannot wait for this movie!!

While the movie itself looks great, I felt the trailer was sloppily put together. The editing, music, and sound just didn't work together, and everything felt incredibly jerky, unlike the silky smooth flowing Teaser Trailer. I didn't think the elements fit.

The movie looks great though.

S*#t.. i have tears in my eyes! This trailer is amazing!

Cool trailer, no doubt about it, but it doesn't quell my minor fear that Synder will go overboard with unnecessary slow motion.

And though I had no problem with it, I guarantee you that after TDK audiences will groan that yet another main protagonist has a gravelly voice. I mean, if THAT of all things was the main complaint about TDK it's going to be an issue for people here too. Ah well, what can you do?

"They're even workin' for the Government!"
Didn't expect Dan to have a southern twang.

Great trailer though.

I'm not all that happy with some of the stuff in/about the new trailer but it is still pretty amazing just seeing the Watchmen on film.

The trailer's pretty good, but it seems like the Minutemen-turned-Watchmen and Manhattan energy additions from Tse's screenplay are in the film. I'm a little anxious to see how that's going to play out.

Manhattan energy additions:huh: Care to elaborate?

I like how some assumed how the voices sounded. Like some one said above. Rorschach's voice was kinda like how Alan read it. Raspy and pretty much just like that.

I enjoyed the trailer, looks like it is shaping up quite well.
