Sequels The official NEXT ROGUE thread

No colorful outfits. They'd look stupid. The leather is fine. Colorful piping is all we need. Put Wolverine in yellow spandex and a mask, and it'll be ridiculous. Color is fine in a comic, but not on real people. On real people, they look like they belong in Disneyland.

If you want color, and odes to the comics, do it with their civilian outfits. I've got Rogue in her classic bomber jacket in one scene, and layering yellow and green in another as an ode to her classic costume. Gambit wears his overcoat every time he's in civilian attire (he wears a black leather overcoat like Cyclops wore in X2 when he's in uniform).

Do you mean in a reboot? She's powerless in this series. :o

Exactly, which is why I want Mystique to be the scorned woman she is. Scoop up Rogue and wreck havoc in retaliation to the cure. I know many feel as if it's a bit off course, but Rogue being bad = her power upgrade. It will take Rogue hurting another mutant or going through some kind of life changing experience for her to come back to the X-men. She should definitely join Pyro, Juggz, along w/ Mystique and run into the X-men during battle.

But at the end of X3, we saw she was happy. Why would she rush off to join Mystique? :o

Well, she will be angry when the cure wears off. An opportunistic Mystique might use that to lure her into joining up with her.

Not the storyline I want, but a possibility. ;)

And she was so eager to have her daughter killed in X1? :o
How many times has Mystique tried to kill Rogue? Thought so.
How about checking the recent issue X-Men # 200 where she
wishes to have the honor of shooting Rogue herself :whatever:

It doesn't matter, really. Suddenly revealing in X4 that Mystique is Rogue's mother when we've known somebody else to be her mother for the last 7 years, when she was shown to be a completely normal 17-year old until her mutations manifested... to suddenly say, "Oh, wait - she was taken in by a mutant spy as a baby!"? It would be completely absurd. People need to just let go of that relationship as far as the movies go.

Who is this "somebody" exactly. All we saw was a quick glimpse of Rogue's parent's after she touched that boy. Did you know her mother's name? Why couldn't it have been Mystique? Mystique's known to be shrouded in mystery.
And stop acting like the movie needs to follow a certain plot because as we can all see Ratner didn't care what you or anyone else on this forum thought.
Psylocke was a villain, and Calisto was Dominican, so get out of here with that. If they make Mystique manipulate Rogue it will atleast be an attempt to be true to the comics.

We saw enough of Rogue's mother and Rogue's life with her that it would be really weird to suddenly turn it into Rogue living with a shapeshifting spy.

What certain plot? That major aspects of a major character aren't radically shifted in ways that give me a consistency migraine? :oldrazz:

I don't have a big problem with Mystique manipulating Rogue. I just have a problem with going back and making Mystique Rogue's mother when Rogue's pre-mutant life has already been clearly determined.

Well they weren't actually consistent w/ the movies either. And if Mystique wasn't Rogue's mom, how come she just can't see her huddled in a corner sad that her powers are back and recruit her in the Brotherhood? She can take her in now and Rogue can be a villain. Fight alongside Pyro, Blob, or even Avalanche. I'm sure if Rogue joins Mystique, she'll have that edge she's missing.

Sorry, but I can't really follow your question. :o What are you asking? say it slowly, 'cause I ain't too bright. :oldrazz:

Oh, and about consistency: That's why I used the term "consistency migraine", to delineate from the more common consistency headaches we all experience in the Marvel world. :cwink:

It's messed up, so why fix it now  LOL
Jean was the Scarlett Witch in X3, why can't Mystique be Rogue's momma?

These aren't the comics. Liberties are taken. Besides the identity of Rogue's mother isn't the problem with her character. :o

apart from mystique/Rogue interaction, what other ideas you have for Rogue in X4, would be nice to see a little summary of her possible evolution in X4. I'll post mine soon.

Just to compare, which look of these two would you preffer for her in X4?

the X2 ponytail.... or a short hair one?

Neither.

Between your two, however, I say the one on the left. I just don't like Anna with short hair (although that do looks better on her than on Famke, lol).

Anna had the look of your pic in X3 and X2, long and straight hair...

And that's how she looked best. :cwink: She can have different 'dos in different scenes; but the long hair is her best look IMO.

For some reason, so many fans haven't liked movie Rogue, so that will be for a few reasons, between them, the look, hehe.

Anyway, I'm working on a new manip, and is looking really good, better than my previous one, I hope all like it.

Edit: it will be my best Rogue manip ever, believe me.
