I just picked up the conquest TPB and I'm loving Nova. I'm going to start collecting him. What exactly is the worldmind though? I'm a little confused on that. And is Nova as strong as the Surfer and Thanos? Has he interacted with them?

Worldmind is a sentient computer system that houses the entirety of Xandarian (The creators of the Nova corps) culture. Essentially, well, It is the Nova force. It's kinda like a less *****ey version of the Kree's Supreme Intelligence.

Powerful as the Surfer or Thanos? No. Surfer has show up in Nova's book and yes, they do fight. And Thanos? Well, I guess you didn't actually read Annihilation. I recommend you do, if for no other reason than to see how Nova got so awesome.

Nova briefly fought Silver Surfer many issues ago when Galactus was trying to eat this world, and Nova was aiding in evacuating it, as well as ultimately chasing down a criminal. He was powerful enough to get the Surfer's attention but probably would not have beaten him.

Keep in mind that Nova's power was also being drained without his knowledge to power the Worldmind's growing Nova Corps at the time. Who knows how a rematch would go? I mean, I still think the Surfer would beat him, but you never know. Now, Robbie with the Nova Prime power level, on the other hand...

In fact, Nova even said to himself that if Surfer actually fought him, he wouldn't stand a chance.

Unless he used a half nelson, because appearantly that is the Surfer's one true weakness.

Thanks guys. I’m playing catch up with the new Nova series. Who are in his rogues gallery? I even found his Super hero squad toy yesterday, great little figure.

Right now, it seems they are in process of building him a rogues gallery.

Sphinx will be showing up soon.
Hallow if he ever shows back up after being vaporized.
Strontian should be a major foe of his if there is any justice.

Annihilus is gonna be pretty mad at Nova specifically when he returns.

Blastaar will probably cause problems for Rich and the Nova Corps sooner or later, too.

Diamondhead is a classic Nova villian, although it was shown that Nova is way beyond him being a threat any longer.

It'd be fun to have Nova fight him when he comes back to Earth anyway. Maybe Diamondhead could follow Nova into space, reasoning that he could acquire greater power there just as Nova did.

OO Blaastar? I haven’t seen him in ages. I’ve always found Annhilus (sp?) interesting. Time to order some more TPB from Amazon this week. My comic shop only had the Conquest TPB. I know Thanos was killed, but any chance he’ll come back? I like to see how Nova would do against him.

Blastaar's been around here and there in the Cosmic line since Annihilation. I think he was in the first Annihilation, he was a small role in Annihilation Conquest. He was in Guardians of the Galaxy an arc prior to War of Kings. Then he wasin several War of Kings issues, mostly Ascension, one of the Warriors issues, and an issue of Nova.

I've really grown to like him.

OO Blaastar? I haven’t seen him in ages. I’ve always found Annhilus (sp?) interesting. Time to order some more TPB from Amazon this week. My comic shop only had the Conquest TPB. I know Thanos was killed, but any chance he’ll come back? I like to see how Nova would do against him.

If you like Annihilus at all, for the love of God, buy Annihilation. I doubt there will ever be another Annihilus story that great again.

Thanos will probably be back at some point. He's too big a part of Marvel's cosmos to stay dead forever.

Wasn't like the last line of Kelly's run on Deadpool, Death saying to him that they would hump like bunnies for the month or so it was going to take him heal. Chick is freaky.

Oh man, you just reminded me when Thanos went into her (tower? I forget what it was) to visit her but she was with Pool so she doesn't answer his call and all he can say is "Maybe she's brushing her hair."
