Well not in an early draft of the screenplay but who knows, maybe Gore changed that or knowing Jerry Brucheimer he could've been "more magic and special effects and CGI and SFX....AND BIG EXPLOSIONS, now."

So perhaps.

With Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest about to take the top box office spot for a third weekend in a row, Walt Disney Pictures unveiled the first footage from the third installment at the San Diego Comic-Con on Saturday. While it was previously believed to carry the subtitle "At World's End," those words were not included in the presentation and we're expecting you'll be hearing a new subtitle soon. (Spoilers ahead!)

The footage was about two minutes long and included brief interviews with producer Jerry Bruckheimer and Orlando Bloom. Chow Yun-Fat's character had many speaking lines in the clip, which featured lots of Singapore floating village shots, a rescue Captain Jack Sparrow scene, a scene where Sparrow has to convince the crew to run back and forth on the shipdeck to rock a ship over, Jack the undead monkey in Chinese Warrior armor, shots of Barbossa and Sparrow amid a huge shipboard sword battle, and a swordfight between Sparrow and Davy Jones atop a crows nest in a giant storm.

The teaser poster for the third film (shown left) was at the event as well. Pirates of the Caribbean 3 hits theaters on May 25, 2007.

I MUST see this clip immediately. :o

Now i'd like to see pics of these factual things. So i'm guessing this means Barbossa and Jack are on the same side for a time atleast.

Just wonderin what was everyones 2 favorite movies lines from Curse Of The Black Pearl and Dead Mans Chest.

Dead Mans Chest Line

1 "Whos fault is it really that you became a rum pot deck hand that takes orders from pirates."

Curse Of The Black Pearl Line.

2 "Too long have been parched and unable to quench it. Too long have i been starvin to death and haven't died. I feel nothin. Not the wind on my face or the spray of the sea. Nor the warmth of a womens flesh. You best start believin in ghost stories Miss Turner. Your in one!"

It's about time we see Davy Jones swinging swords.

Sounds awesome!Davy Jones in action!:D

Thanks for that Hunter:up:

Dead Mans Chest estimated total as of Sunday July 23rd is now at 321.7 million dollars. Surpassing Fellowship Of The Ring and Harry Potter 1 for the 16th domestic all time spot. Ofcourse assuming the estimates hold true. What and amazing 3 weeks for this movie. Many people are saying Piartes 3 will be hard pressed to equel these numbers with Spiderman 3, Shrek 3 and Harry Potter 5. I however think like Rings trilogy the box office gods are with ths franchise.

Yeah I saw the pirates 3 clip and it was pretty awesome but I didnt really like Chow Yun-Fat playing the captain. But I cant really form judgement cause I only saw like 5 seconds of him.

I can't wait to see Capt. Jack and Davy Jones going at it. Plus, Davy has that crab hand, so that should come in handy.

Does anyone know if Lord Cutler will fight in this movie?

Cutler seems like a back stabbing weasel to me. H elikely has some other thug to do the hard work. Like hold someone down. Why else would he need to use Jones unless he was a coward at the heart of it all.

The comic con footage kicked some serious ass, I can't believe they showed so much. My favorite part had Jack on board a ship saying something like, "did any of you want me back?" The whole crew was silent, but the monkey raised his hand. :p

Where do I have go to watch the Pirates 3 footage from the San Diego Comic-Con online? Has it hit online yet?

Chow, Chow, Chow.
I am waiting for Chow, and Captain Jack back once again. :)

I hope gets online, and Jack V Davy is going to be great i hope its funny as well, he does have like a crab hand.

DMC: Domestic: $321,899,233
