When I look back at all these page's it hits me how much has been cut from this film. Not only the explanation that Will is free after 10 years of perfect service ... but the Asian Costume Jack was supposed to be wearing and Norrington getting his life back on track.

I enjoyed the movie , but it felt a bit rushed. They could've explained alot of others things. Maybe the Extended Version on DVD adds alot more stuff *crosses fingers* But the music ... oh my god , the music in this version was just BRILLIANT! I can listen to that stuff all day ... the music played during the rocking of the ship , or the end-battle ... or the romance song between Will and Elizabeth ... wonderfull!

It's funny that , while looking back at this thread , that nobody noticed that Will WOULD become the Captain of the Dutchman. In the trailer you can see the scar on his chest clear as day. Or someone found it and I'm just blind ... but ... no :P

The sowrd Will gets stabbed with is the one he made for James remeber, James got it back in this film and loses it, Davy takes it and then stabs Will with it, so he got stabbed by his own sword poor guy lol Ironic in a way lol

Barbossa wasn't Jack's first mate in "Curse Of The Black Pearl". He'd stolen the ship through mutiney and the crew followed him, making him Captain. So Jack was without a ship. Wellm a proper BIG ship that didn't sink!

You hafta be a pirate captain I guess...presumably there's only 9 in the whole world. And since Jack never 'officially' lost his status as Captain of the Black Pearl (in DMC, Davy still considered Jack the captain of the Pearl), I guess that explains why he's still a Pirate Lord?

Though Hector was first mate of the Pearl, I think his motive for accepting the position was simple: He heard of the Pearl's amazing speed and what not, so he left the Caspian Sea to become its First Mate, with plans to take the Pearl back to the Caspian Sea for his own pirating needs.

1. Before they went into the Isla de Muerta Gibbs had told will that Jack had been carrying the pistol that killed Barbossa at the end of the first movie since the mutiny.

2. "10 years you carry that pistol Jack and you waste your shot" - Direct quote from Barbossa.

So there's your proof.(plus Davy had said it in DMC)
