Aye, I agree with you! Why can't Jack just have the Pearl?! Just let him have it already, it is his! lol

^Hopefully they make a 4th to correct the problem, but i really dont see why some people have such a problem with this movie.

Plus, i think we will see DC of at least the last 2 movies in the near future, and just for the hell of it, this is how i rank them:

POTC: COTBP
POTC: AWE
POTC: DMC

I think in an old version of the script Jack did get the Pearl back and sailed away with the strumpets. Also, I think Feng and his crew were "demon" pirates in this scriptment. I haven't got it; I found it on Keep to the Code a while back. Besides that everything was there-the hangings, EITC attack on Singapore, etc.

I'm glad Feng and his crew werent demon pirates, but Jack still should ended up with the Pearl, he was the one who got Davy Jones to raise The Pearl from the depths.

Yeah, that order for me too!
Oh, I heard about them being demon pirates too so glad they didn't have that in, I think it would have been too much.

Please, can they make a Jack Sparrow film? Ignoring all the others from the previous films.

Agreed, it would have been too much, especially with Davy Jones and his crew walking about and people returning from the dead, etc.

It seems they are going that way if they go ahead with POTC4, which i hope they do.

Well, I would say Liz and Will really don't have a future..since we've seen them both 10 years into the future..meaning that any and all suspense would be stripped from their characters in an immediate sequal. If they made 4 take place 10 years later i guess they could be in it..but that would be wierd considering that 3's ending suggests a more immediate sequal.

With that said..maybe its time for new secondary characters.

Keep Sparrow and Barbosa though.

Agreed. A movie with Sparrow and Barbosa with a completely new cast of characters would be great(well, I also like pintel and raggeti).
I personally found the whole 10 years thing corny, and a bit sad.
I mean, they seriously have to wait 10 years everytime to see eachother?

Thats what I like about it...its a bittersweet ending for the two. As opposed to the Hollywood "happy ending".

But the tone of these movies (at least the first two) is not bittersweet, but happy-Disney. The first which iddn't take itself nearly as seriously went for the happily ever after ending and it worked amazingly well. Tehy went for the epic bittersweet "more real" ending and it felt contrived, silly, forced, melodramatic and stupid.

Which I think sums up the entire existence of the sequels. They tarnished EVERYTHING good about the first movie in trying to be SW or LOTR. Meh.

I like it for that reason but i also dislike it for other reasons, its bit too sad of an ending for my taste's, and also a bit too 'good' (not sure if thats the word I mean) of an ending for a character like Will.

I feel that ending should have been given to a character who wanted to sail the seas for eternity. Will just didnt seem important enough for that type of ending IMO.

Well, I also thought it was quite sad....until I remembered Davy Jones could go onshore whenever he wanted....as long as he stood in a bucket :whatever:

The more I think about it, the more I agree. While I liked the sequels for what they were, they should've each been stand alone movies like Indiana Jones instead of trying so hard to be something they were not (though the cliff hanger with Barbossa at the end of DMC, I maintain is the best ending since Empire Strikes Back).

But how would they "do it"?

Well they have the choice between the bath or the sea :cwink:

In all seriousness though, he would go like Davy Jones did because he wasnt doing the job of ferrying the dead to the netherworld.

Unless Elizabeth is into that kinky stuff :cwink:

Yeah, i did enjoy both sequels, AWE more so than DMC, but neither was as good as COTBP, and with, a few different choices at the start, both could have been.

I wonder...what if Jack was the one who became the new captain instead of will?

Stand alone movies would have been cool, but I loved COTBP and DMC. I thought they tied together fine, AWE was just messy and kinda ruined it.

Bloopers!

These are way funnier than the ones from DMC. "You can't curse in a Disney film, mate." :woot:
