If the time of Pirates does end at the end of the third movie what the hell can a sequel trilogy be about ? The sequels would not be "Pirate" movies which takes away the whole point of them

If they went farther back before the events in Pirates 1 then they could. It would just be prequels instead. By the way has anyone considered that maybe Will could accidently kill Elizabeth and then Jack kills Will. Then Bootstrap or Barbossa stabs the heart of Davy Jones.

Thats the only thing they can do at this point. They have a trilogy leading to the end of the time of pirates do another one with the start of the time of pirates & in the middle but after the end theres no reason to it wouldnt make sense.

Prequals would be good imo, I would actually like to see a prequal more along the lines of the first film, where things were a lot smaller in scale. 2 and 3 are very epic in tone because they are the climax so the prequal should go back to the basics.

I should also add that i seem to be the only one on these boards who liked dead mans chest more then curse of the black pearl, but i really think the prequal should be more like the first one in tone then the second.

I would love to see Jack posing as a clerik for the church of England like the person says at the end of COTBP when Jack is about to be hanged.

Also, I prefer Dead Man's Chest over Curse of the Black Pearl. However, it is mostly because I love the character of Davy Jones.

Davy Jones and the Kraken sold it for me, the 2 films are very similar anyway so I dont see why dmc gets alot of hate, some say its because it repeated alot of what happened in the first one, but thats a good thing.

I'd love to see a 2.5 hour film of Davy Jone's life showing him slowly progressing from human to inhuman. See a time lapse of him growing tentacles how cool would that be? And seeing how he became the master of the kraken...sweet...

Next summer is full of "3"s...and this will probably be the best one, right behind Spidey 3 of course.

I'm not terribley to interested in a Jones starring prequel, if he where in the prequel, and his story was incorporated, I would be game for that, but I personally don't want to see a movie just about him

I think she will end up being a key to the resolution of the movie

Also, I have a hunch, just a hunch, her and Jack might hook up at the end of the movie....maybe
