Thar she blows! The Black Pearl surfaces stateside!!!!

Ahoy, squirts! Quint here. This isn't super huge spoilery news, but if you're like me and are grasping for every bit of info regarding the whereabouts of Captain Jack Sparrow, then you might like this. My understanding is that when they shot PIRATES 2 and 3 back to back, they really only shot part of Film 3, everything they needed on location in the Caribbean. Now they're completing filming and it looks like they've anchored the Black Pearl in Redondo Beach. We've had 2 different spies write in about it, both with pictures. Here's the Black Pearl:

Another spy wrote in with a little bit of coolness involving Johnny Depp and the location of the Pearl:

the black pearl is usually docked in san pedro or redondo beach. they filmed against the beach of pala verdes. so if there are any west coast pirate fans they may be able to see the ship if they want to go to san pedro. this info wasnt openely talked about but i over heard the production talk about where the ship was going to be. and they are filming on the disney lots right now as i type this to you. depp signed autographs for like 2hours like everyday
This spy with no name mentioned that by the time they finished their week of shooting in Redondo Beach there were over 1,000 people waiting to meet Depp and he still went out every day and talked with fans and gave out autographs. That's super cool in my book. Here's photographic evidence (as well as evidence of a cool shirt):

Thanks for the images, guys. I can't wait to see what the production has in store for us next summer! Can't wait!

Title for the Third Pirates Confirmed
Source: Terry Rossio
August 31, 2006

Screenwriter Terry Rossio has confirmed to fans at the Word Player forums that Disney is going with Pirates of the Caribbean: At Worlds End (no apostrophe after World) as the full title for the anticipated third installment, opening in theaters on May 25, 2007.

The studio was deciding between "At Worlds End" and "Worlds End," and the former prevailed.

Johnny Depp, Orlando Bloom and Keira Knightley, Stellan Skarsgård, Jack Davenport, Kevin R. McNally, Lee Arenberg, Mackenzie Crook, Andy Beckwith, Reggie Lee and Chow Yun-Fat star. The movie is produced by Jerry Bruckheimer and directed by Gore Verbinski.

But all that uncertainty about the title, Disney removing it form promotional material and then saying it is the title? What a waste of time.

Maybe at time of printing Keith can't participate in the film. I'm sure the film would work without Jack Sparrow's father, however, if they do put some sub plot involving Jack Sparrow's father into the film, it'd make more sense than Angel in X-Men 3 just being there to be there.

bruckhiemer mentioned months ago that richards was confirmed.

Even a cameo would make the movie that much better

If that's the case...wouldn't it be cool to see another threesome fight (plus one), but with Jack, Davy, Barbossa, and Sparrow's father (for some reason)?

That'd be epic.

ye that would be pretty awesome, except I thought davenport was a weak link in that fight, his character's story just seemed so unnecesary

Really? I don't think you were paying attention,no offence, but:

He stole the heart of Davy Jones, not only to get the Commodore position back, but to also take revenge on Will, Elizabeth and Jack, so obviously, all his actions from part 2 have big ripples in the third film.

The whole East India Trading Company stuff didn't make sense to me until the second viewing.

I'm saying when the screenwriters were writing the story, he was a very unnecesary character to bring back

I disagree with you, I think he'll be amajor player of events in the third one, hence why he was in the second one.

Not going to cause a mass sigh of relief like Revenge of the Sith's title announce did, but fine nonetheless.

It's not the title that matters, anyway, it's the film itself and what happens in it that I care about! July 2007 cannot come fast enough!
