could be.

I'd have to watch all of them to understand.

Jack doesn't know Barbossa is back, so maybe there'll be a little exposition?

as far as i could see barbossa could have been bleeding to death..then when the monkey picked up the gold..healed instantly.. but that would conflict with him eating the apple.

He ate the apple but he might not have been able to taste it. I'm quite interested i seeing what happens in At World's End and having Barbossa's return explained.

If I remember right he mentioned that food turned to ash in their mouth when they tried to eat....not just that they couldn't taste it. It looked like he was doing fine chewing that apple. Of course, it could have been on oversight in the movie...but I'm betting the Aztec gold is not the answer.

Do recall also that Barbossa has the apple at the end waiting for the curse to be lifted. That be Pirates 1 and he does not eat it for a the time it is useless do to Barbossa speah to Kiera on the Blcak Pearl. So for him to eat the apple is a wink to say i am alive. Also if you go by the leaked skript he is drinking rum and eating more apples. Barbossa is alive by the grace of Tia Dalma that is clear. I just hope they explain how. Maybe Brabossa will just answer to Jack how and he will say ah i see and he will what type of spell or what not. We may not get the visual but an explanation Jack and Gibbs understand.

Nice wallpaper Ultimate movie man, very cool, will be using it for sure.

Does no one pay attention to movies. I caught this in the theator at the first showing. Jack first messes around with Barbossa's hat then when Tia was looking for a Jar of dirt Jack steals a ring that looks familure to one of Barbossa's black stoned rings in Pirates 1. Watch the shack thing more carefully on DMC. My question was not answered how did she get his body there. Did he go to hell and she braught his body back by magic to her shack.

I saw that part when they were in the shack but I figured that was to put emphasis on the necklace that was on the table, because it is the same as the music box that Davy Jones had. I figured he was looking at the hat because he had lost his earlier in the film.

We dont know how she got his body there... pehaps he came to her.

What I am curious about is why Tia Dalma already had Barbossa's body before Jack died. Either A) she was able to predict that Jack was going to die, but due to some cosmic balance thing was unable to warn him, or b) has some dark use for the mutineer. Time will tell.

Well Tia did say that if they were going to go to World's End they would need a sailor who knew those waters so I guess World's End must be some type of purgetory.

I think Tia Dalma can only know things that are for sure going to happen if that makes sense...she didnt know jack would die bc he was confused on whether or not he would even go back to the pearl to save everyone from the kraken. maybe tia didnt realize how good of a man jack really was...

Tia seemed desperate when she asked if Will would do it. Will never figured on that Tia had a way. It seems to me she knew that Liz betrayed Jack and Wills plan. I think she is a manipulater for she needs Jack Sparrow for something to benifit her.

Do consider this option. I came up with this just yesturday. If indeed Tia is
Calypso the goddess of the ocean like is rumored who was trapped by the pirates brethren to tame the seas. Could Tia be using Barbossa and Barbossa knowing that its atarp to kill the pirates thus breaking the curse setting the goddess within Tia free. Jack could be the part to get her revenge on Jones. Will may be pawn for her to have her next toy as goddess.
There are reasons Gibbs and Jack fear her. I am not so certain she is any better then Davy Jones. She could be worse.

i also wanna find out why Jack made a deal with davy jones 13 years ago...did Jack die back then and make a deal with jones to do something using the pearl?

So someone posted this up on the imdb boards and I thought it was interesting.

If you haven't yet noticed of the two, Will and Jack, the only one who has actually DIED to save Elizabeth (and the crew) has been Jack! Will hasn't died for Elizabeth's sake. Will never even rescued Lizzie, he's attempted to rescue her, but has never been successful. On the other hand, Jack has rescued Lizzie on numerous occasions in both CotBP and DMC.

IMO Jack/Liz will end up together.

People keep saying "that's not my idea of Jack, he's a lone wolf...," etc, etc, etc. But what most forget is that this man was not always a pirate and probably didn't become one by choice. Remember, Beckett branded him a pirate. Jack had to re-invent himself as a totally different person in order to make it in the world.

Of the 3 main characters in the movie Lizzie is the only true pirate. She's been dreaming of that life since she was a child. No doubt romanticizing the idea of freedom at seas and doing what she wants because she wants to do it.

In AWE the end of era is at hand (i.e., piracy is becoming a thing of the past). Jack will have to find his place in the world just as Beckett said in DMC. He's a dying breed. Even Jack knows this because at the end of DMC he told Mr. Gibbs "It's only a ship" when he told them to abandon the Black Pearl. He no longer sees the Pearl as *freedom.*

To me that line implies 3 things: First, he didn't row back because of the Pearl. He probably went back because of Lizzie (remember the compass). Second, Jack knows the world is shrinking and piracy is no longer an option. Thirdly, he wanted to win the admiration of Elizabeth. Remember what she told him in the *curiosity* scene.

Jack also knows he can't win and will have to square his debt with Jones. Believing Lizzie loves Will, Jack does the honorable thing. He returns to the Pearl to save the woman he loves and confront his destiny. He does something courageous. He's achieved the admiration of all who know him, especially Elizabeth.
