lol, someone lied.

That's pretty bad quality so I wrote it out:

What happened after the credits?!

The ending scene started out with a little boy running to a clif singing 'Yo Ho, Yo Ho, a pirates life for me'. There's a caption that says' 10 Years Later'. Then you see Elizabeth catching up to the boy. He is obviously her son. They both look out to sea and sea the sun setting. There's a shot of Elizabeth's face and she's smiling. THen you see the Green Flash. She and her son look at each other smiling. Then you see a shot of the Dutchman with Will on it, hanging off the side, smiling (rather sexily, I might add). Then theres a shot of Elizabeth and her son standing at the cliff watching the Dutchman come closer to the island.

Wow, news to me there is a scene after the credits? I'll go see it again for sure.

The movie was damn good. Much better than the crap-half-movie that was Dead Man's Chest. It felt kind of epic at the end, the final battle and the actual ending of the movie.

I loved it a lot. 9.5/10.

I still don't understand the significance of the song the ppl that were being executed started to sing? ..and the silver piece in the boy's hand......

When the people at the beginning were singing they were calling the brethern court together.

The silver piece is one of the 'Nine pieces of eight'.

Pirates Up to $625.3 Million Worldwide

Disney's Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End, from producer Jerry Bruckheimer and director Gore Verbinski, continued to rule the high seas at the box office in its second weekend of release, boosting its worldwide gross- to-date to a sensational $625.3 million, it was announced today by Mark Zoradi, president of Walt Disney Studios Marketing and Walt Disney Studios Distribution.

Riding an enormous wave of success at theatres all over the world, the film added $148.6 million in its second smash weekend of release. The film already ranks as the 31st highest grossing film in industry history and the 8th film in Disney history to reach this box office level (more than any other studio).

Internationally, the film added $105.4 million to its coffers in its second weekend of release for a 12-day gross-to-date of $408.8 million. "At World's End" now has the distinction of reaching the $400 million plateau faster than any other film ever released at the international marketplace.

On the domestic front, the latest installment in the "Pirates" trilogy added $43.2 million in its second weekend of release, and raised its cume to an impressive $216.5 million. After just two weekends of release, the film already ranks as the 57th highest grossing film of all time.

Commenting on the announcement, Zoradi said, "'Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End' is continuing to captivate and enthrall audiences all over the world and to perform like the champion that it is. Word-of-mouth continues to be fantastic and the returns at the global box office reflect the film's phenomenal popularity. We're thrilled with the film's performance so far and have high hopes for its continued success at the box office.

Doesn anyone have any At World's End Gif's?
I'd kill to see some. Haven't seen any anywhere other than avatars which is suprising.

Seems to me that part 2 was just a plug for every thing and every character to set up a great final act. At least I hope there is no fourth installment to ruin this good trilogy. I enjoyed the movie and didn't get bored by the lenght. It passed very well!

In just over a week. That's insane! :wow:

Which reminds me, I need to see it again. :woot:

Johnny Depp Wins at MTV Movie Awards

Captain Jack Sparrow was the big winner at the MTV Movie Awards Sunday as "Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest" was named best movie and its star, Johnny Depp, won for best performance.

Depp joined "Pirates" producer Jerry Bruckheimer to accept the Golden Popcorn trophy.

"This is the man who did it all right here, Johnny Depp," Bruckheimer said. "Without him, we wouldn't be here."

"I'd like to thank this man and Disney for not firing me first," Depp quipped.

"Pirates" races past $400 million overseas

"Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End" overwhelmed the international box office for the second consecutive weekend, making off with an estimated $105.4 million from 103 markets.

Its foreign total stands at $408.8 million. Worldwide, including North America, "At World's End" has grossed $625.3 million to date.

"At World's End" is the 24th film in industry history to have grossed more than $400 million overseas, and the fifth Disney title to pass that milestone.

The latest in the "Pirates" film already has grossed 16% more than the final international total ($350 million) of 2003's "Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl" and 60% of the final overseas gross ($642 million) accumulated by last year's "Dead Man's Chest."

The weekend's only new market was India, where "At World's End" made off with an estimated $1.4 million, 50% more than the combined opening gross in the market of the first two "Pirates" titles. It was the market's third-biggest opening ever, Disney said.

"At World's End" was No. 1 with mighty market share everywhere. In Japan, it earned $11.5 million (off just 4%), for a market total of $35.5 million. In the U.K., the weekend tally also was $11.5 million (down 49%), for a total of $57 million.

I just want to say a couple things. I think Jack Sparrow in many ways is ideally what I think a cinematic version of Zaphod Beeblebrox should've been more like instead of the weak ass interpretation we got by Sam Rockwell.

Also, Depp would've made the perfect Constantine. And not that freaking Keanu version.

Can someone tell me - in the scene after the credits ...
with Will returning on the Dutchman 10 years later - does that mean his 10 years are up and he's free or does it mean he can go on land for a day again?

I know with Davy Jones it was he could only step on land once every 10 years but then he was cursed for neglecting his duty but is it the same for Will or did he only have to serve 10 years?

It's up too you... lol. Most people believe
that Will is now free because he did his job plus Keira stayed loyal. But it's really just up too you.

so it's a choice of happy ever after or bittersweet melodrama, hmmm.

i think that the job is eternal. it sound kinda lame that the curse could end in 10 years, just because a woman is loyal

they all said that the dutchman needs a captain and someone must guide the spirits, so if the curse could be over like that, then who would be the next captain?
