It really does raise the question as to why the compass kept pointing at Jack while Elizabeth held it.

I don't know. Elizabeth looked like a ****ing mess at the end of DMC. She told him it was the only way to save the others. She told him she wasn't sorry. She then breaks down and cries. Is it really just guilt?

The irony was, both Jack and Elizabeth were proven right in this movie. Jack told Elizabeth that she'd act on selfish impulse, and she did. Elizabeth told Jack that one day he would do the right thing, and he did. In my opinion, this is only going to increase the feelings they have for each other. Elizabeth sees that Jack is a good man, and Jack sees that Elizabeth is alot like himself.

Jack/Elizabeth will be a couple.

As much as i like the curve ball idea. I just don't see it. I however do see Jack being a match maker and most likely Merrying them on the Black Pearl. I think all the condusion will be put to rest. And they will finally come together. After most of the 3rd film will likely be playing on the strane of the misunderstanding and Elizabeth not wanting to face Jack. I think at last they will have to confront each other. I however don't want a smily Jack to not mention he thaught she had better stuff then to leave a friend to die.

The reason I seriously consider Jack/Elizabeth is because even from the first movie, I think the pirate life is what Elizabeth really wants. And Jack is the perfect pirate.

Or have Will when Elizabeth tells him shes leaving him for Jack go bonkers & have Will kill Elizabeth because everything he did everything he started out to do was to save Elizabeth aka Anakin / Padme

& Will & Jack have a battle with both dying (something new here) only for Jack to come back at the end (not new)

Thats too much like Revenge Of The Sith for me. I have trouble believing Disney would agree to having teh prince and prinsess being together in a story book ending. Unless two factors happen. Jack become more the hero and Will turns darker and becomes somthing she did not want from the ideals of a pirate. The other thing could be that Will kills the heart of Davy Jones and just at the wedding they learn a fact that whom kills Jones replaces him as Captain. Jack warned will of this but he did not listen. Jack by now is off somewhere else after Elizabeth chose her path. She finds him at teh very end seaking his help. The set up for 4 being Elizabeth and Jack are trying to free will of his new job. But along the way in the 4th she begins to feel for Jack even stronger. Leading into a Jack and Will duel to finish teh series for certain.

That would be hot. Will replaces Davy Jones... that would be freaking awesome. Nice character arc.
