well try another pc screen when you find the time so you can make absolutely sure. I wouldn't be saying this other wise. Something isn't showing on the one your looking at currently sadly.

I maxed out the brightness of my screen and I'm 99% sure that's not it. Look more closely at the one I posted.

What could possibly be the major difference between those 2 controllers other than the fact that one is a pic with natural light? What difference are you looking at besides lighting and brightness?

I saw those and was maybe gonna point that out but I think that is just because of the quality of the .gif. The detail isn't there but I see the same thumbsticks for the most part. Even the PS4 sticks don't look as clean as the real thing.

This mystery clearly needs to be solved. But my 2 cents is that it's the quality of the gif animation, when looking at the individual frames in my gif software the thumbsticks look pretty bad all around. It's either that or aliens, yo.

Nah, the ones in your gif are the ones I remember. If I were to guess, I would say that was maybe a prototype of some kind, but it's just such a minor little difference I don't see why it would matter to anyone.

incorrect bro. the gif animations do not change around the analog sticks when switching from the original to the dualshock. moreover, I'm pretty sure the gif is just an amalgamation of this this this this and this.

indeed. they are concave, not convex. so the Ds4 wasn't the first playstation controller to do this.

yes, hence my original point that the gif missed one part of the evolution of playstation controllers.

t's neither that, nor aliens and this mystery never needed solving. i wish y'all would just trust me. whoever made the gif simply forgot that the Ps1 originally had a dual analog controller, before the dualshock 4.

it wasn't a prototype. it was the dualshock's predecessor.
