I just read Dark Cloud 2 on PS4 from your post and got excited.

Well, you did misread, because it's just Dark Cloud 1 haha. Not a bad game, though, but nowhere near as good as 2. I figure a lot will not be happy that they may potentially have to re-buy their PS2 games.

Yeah, WTF, I saw the incompatible PS2 discs line and the next post was 'Yesssss', I thought that was bad news ha.

sorry if the trailer aren't working here so I'm puttinglink via youtube under them. they work in the articles I'm seeing them from though. just in cases so ty ether if you want to see the video's

The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel
will launch for PlayStation 3 and PS Vita in North America via retail and digitally on December 22, XSEED Games announced.

In Europe, NIS America will distribute the game, but a release date has not been announced.

Alongside the standard edition, the RPG will be available in a limited “Lionheart Edition” including a 100-page art book featuring art from the game and its 2016-due sequel Trails of Cold Steel II, a 1.5″ emblem pin representing the Erebonian Empire, and a collector’s box designed to house both the first game and its sequel.

Here’s an outline of the game, via XSEED:
The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel, known in Japan as Eiyuu Densetsu: Sen no Kiseki, builds on Nihon Falcom’s acclaimed Trails franchise by improving on the series’ formula while delivering the same sort of expertly told narrative series fans have come to expect. Taking place on the same continent as fan-favorite Trails in the Sky, Trails of Cold Steel is the first game in the series to explore Erebonian soil, giving players a chance to delve deep into the inner political conflicts of this oft-mentioned and powerful empire.

In the game, players take on the role of specially-selected elite military students at a time of great turmoil, enjoying school life and bonding with fellow students to earn new abilities in battle, then utilizing those abilities via speedy, tactical turn-based combat with the newly-developed “ARCUS” system. This new story arc in the Trails series also delves into the expansive lore that has become synonymous with the series. Best of all, the epic storyline can be unraveled with Cross-Save functionality between the game’s “PSVita” system and PS3™ system editions, allowing players to play at home or on the go.

Here's a look at what to expect on the PS4 from the recent news of PS2 emulation.

So glad to hear these games will have trophy support.

What PS2 games would you guys like to see on PS4?

Here's the blog post to go with the video. There's already a few games that will be available tomorrow, such as all three major GTA games.

For some reason, I don't remember much from the PS2 era so other than the GTA games which are already available, I don't know what else I'd like that hasn't already been made playable on PS3 through some remaster.

I want Spider-Man 2 made available.

Wow, they really are charging people again for these games. I guess i shouldnt be surprised but damn Sony

I know, I'm expecting a celebration for the 55th anniversary or something like that for them to give us the old games, but then I saw what they're charging for them.

I don't think I really care, anymore.

can't really say there are that many PS2 games I'd like to see on the PS4.

if I had to pick one, I'd say......Final Fantasy XII?

The weird thing is the HD version of San Andreas was made available on the PS3 as both a digital download and as a physical copy just a few days ago, and they removed the PS2 classic version from the PS Store. I wonder if anyone bought that version in the past few days, only to realize it's the iphone version and not the original PS2 version up-scaled like this one is, and whether or not they'd have to pay again.

I'm going to wait for some comparison videos to show up online first, but I'd love to try GTA III now that it has trophies attached.

nah for that one, i want a proper HD remaster. Hopefully SE announces one tomorrow

Now I'm hoping that since PS+ has been...... ****.. That maybe they'll throw us a bone and give us one PS2 game a month too...

Huh, what? Aren't the PS2 Classics just like the PS1 classics and just straight emulated ports of the original game?

The version that was added to the store on Tuesday is the HD version that was already on the 360. Apparently, that version is based more on the mobile version from a couple of years back. I haven't tried it, but I assume that its the same port on PS3.

However, the version that is coming out tomorrow is part of the emulated games for PS4.

I'm confused, are we taking about a PS2 Classic release or an up-resed port like the 360 got?

https://store.playstation.com/#!/en...reas/cid=UP1004-NPUB31790_00-GTASANANDREASPS3

Notice how it is listed as a PS3 Game, instead of a PS2 Classic like Vice City and III are. The Classic version got removed from the store, which is why the price is currently $14.99. This version also has trophies and you can buy a physical disc in a store. This is the same port that was released on 360.

Now the versions that are planned to be released tomorrow are the PS2 Classic versions, upscaled to 1080p and playable on the PS4.

My original point was that there were probably people who saw that San Andreas was available in HD for the PS3 and they paid the $15 for it, only to hear that the emulated version, upscaled for the PS4, is available tomorrow for another $15.
