The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel will launch for PlayStation 3 and PS Vita in North America via retail and digitally on December 22, XSEED Games announced.
In Europe, NIS America will distribute the game, but a release date has not been announced.
Alongside the standard edition, the RPG will be available in a limited Lionheart Edition including a 100-page art book featuring art from the game and its 2016-due sequel Trails of Cold Steel II, a 1.5″ emblem pin representing the Erebonian Empire, and a collectors box designed to house both the first game and its sequel.
Heres an outline of the game, via XSEED:The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel, known in Japan as Eiyuu Densetsu: Sen no Kiseki, builds on Nihon Falcoms acclaimed Trails franchise by improving on the series formula while delivering the same sort of expertly told narrative series fans have come to expect. Taking place on the same continent as fan-favorite Trails in the Sky, Trails of Cold Steel is the first game in the series to explore Erebonian soil, giving players a chance to delve deep into the inner political conflicts of this oft-mentioned and powerful empire.Read More
In the game, players take on the role of specially-selected elite military students at a time of great turmoil, enjoying school life and bonding with fellow students to earn new abilities in battle, then utilizing those abilities via speedy, tactical turn-based combat with the newly-developed ARCUS system. This new story arc in the Trails series also delves into the expansive lore that has become synonymous with the series. Best of all, the epic storyline can be unraveled with Cross-Save functionality between the games PSVita system and PS3 system editions, allowing players to play at home or on the go.

For some reason, I don't remember much from the PS2 era so other than the GTA games which are already available, I don't know what else I'd like that hasn't already been made playable on PS3 through some remaster. What PS2 games would you guys like to see on PS4?
I want Spider-Man 2 made available.
The weird thing is the HD version of San Andreas was made available on the PS3 as both a digital download and as a physical copy just a few days ago, and they removed the PS2 classic version from the PS Store. I wonder if anyone bought that version in the past few days, only to realize it's the iphone version and not the original PS2 version up-scaled like this one is, and whether or not they'd have to pay again.Wow, they really are charging people again for these games. I guess i shouldnt be surprised but damn Sony
can't really say there are that many PS2 games I'd like to see on the PS4.
if I had to pick one, I'd say......Final Fantasy XII?
nah for that one, i want a proper HD remaster. Hopefully SE announces one tomorrow
classicI'm ALL over Vice City.

I'm going to wait for some comparison videos to show up online first, but I'd love to try GTA III now that it has trophies attached.
The version that was added to the store on Tuesday is the HD version that was already on the 360. Apparently, that version is based more on the mobile version from a couple of years back. I haven't tried it, but I assume that its the same port on PS3.Huh, what? Aren't the PS2 Classics just like the PS1 classics and just straight emulated ports of the original game?
https://store.playstation.com/#!/en...reas/cid=UP1004-NPUB31790_00-GTASANANDREASPS3I'm confused, are we taking about a PS2 Classic release or an up-resed port like the 360 got?
