PlayStation 4 achieves new sales milestone.

Worldwide total sales for PlayStation 4 have topped 30.2 million units as of November 22, Sony Computer Entertainment announced. The console continues to demonstrate the fastest and strongest growth in PlayStation hardware history.





On October 29, Sony announced PlayStation 4 had shipped 29.3 million units.




“We are sincerely grateful that gamers across the globe have continued to choose PS4 as the best place to play since launch two years ago,” said Andrew House, President and Global CEO of Sony Computer Entertainment Inc. “We are committed to bringing engaging games and entertainment services to users worldwide. Thanks to the support of our partners, PS4 continues to be the premier platform for game and interactive entertainment innovation.”




PlayStation 4 first launched on November 15, 2013 in North America. It is now available in 124 countries.

Koei Tecmo revealed in this week’s issue of Famitsu magazine that Captain Levi Ackerman and Hange Zoë will be playable characters in the upcoming Attack on Titan game by Koei Tecmo.

We’ll likely get a closer look with some new screenshots and gameplay trailer for the two characters in the near future. Meanwhile, you can check out the latest batch of videos and screenshots for the game in our earlier report.

Attack on Titan is slated for release this winter in Japan for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, and PlayStation Vita. The game will release sometime in 2016 for the West.

Black Friday Priced Wii U and PlayStation 4 Goes Live on Thanksgiving. November 25, 2015 . 8:31pm

Walmart is already selling the Black Friday priced $249 Wii Uand $299 PlayStation 4 as early as Wednesday night.

Update: eBay deals has a competing PS4 Uncharted sale at only $289.99, now live as of Thursday morning. Quantity available is 5,000 with about 53% sold as of writing.

Black Friday use to mean shopping for deals in a store on Friday morning with your friends and family (some shoving and pushing may be involved). The year is now 2015 and this means you’ll be browsing for Black Friday deals online, on a Wednesday night – in particularly the much anticipated Wii U Deluxe bundle with Super Smash Bros. and Splatoon for $249.99 and the PlayStation 4 Uncharted Bundle for $299.99.

The Wii U deal goes live in about one hour at midnight Eastern time on Thanksgiving. For those in the West Coast that’s 9:01PM PST. The PlayStation 4 deal is already available as of 6:30PM Pacific, we’re not sure why Walmart jumped the gun but they must really want the sales vs. other retailers.

Update: Price went back up for the PS4. We’ll see if Walmart brings back the $299 price when the clock actually strikes midnight Pacific time.

Attack on Titan game launches February in Japan, second trailer

First-print copies include Eren and Levi's cleaning outfits.

The Omega Force-developed Attack on Titan game will launch for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, and PS Vita in Japan during the month of February 2016, the publisher Koei Tecmo announced.



First-print copies of the game will include a product code to gain early access to “Eren & Levi’s Cleaning Costumes” and the “Duster Blade” weapon.




Koei Tecmo also released the game’s second official trailer.
Attack on Titan will ship in both standard and limited editions.
In North America and Europe, Attack on Titan is due out in 2016.

I got myself (though giving it to my parents to give to me for Christmas lol) the PS4 bundle with uncharted and last of us for 369 CAD. This is my first time having a Sony console. Beforehand I had N64, Gamecube, 360 + Wii, and WiiU. It was a bit of an internal battle as I find the dualshock controller to be the worst one out there, but PS4 seems to win out in every other category and two of my best friends have it. I think I also have a bit of a treat ahead of me with uncharted and last of us

Yeah, I've kind of grow a little out of love with the Dualshock as time has went on. It used to be among my favorite designs, but not so much anymore, especially after the 360, One, and Wii U Pro controller. I haven't played on the DS4 controller yet, though.

my main issue is really the parallel analog stick placements. I see Hori has made one that resembles the 360 controller that I may try out. The triggers are also kind of awkward for me

The DS4 is my favorite controller of all time. And I say that never having been much of a fan of the DS1, 2, and 3. It does however have one really bad flaw. Battery life. I love that headphone jack. I even love that light. Granted it drains the battery, but it's just cool looking.

nope I don't work for them. I just put up stuff here and place like epn.tv forums which is a gamer news site it's self and the marvel heroes forum's at times to keep others informed and only for those interested. oh and it keep me from sloping illiteracy at times too. Nothing more

Actually has a lot of uses. Headphones obviously. But now you can plug in your favorite headset or phones without needing an expensive headset or an adapter.

If you live in a household with other people it's also a very nice feature to have. You can play your games or watch your movies without bothering anyone.

There's a reason this is now the industry standard.

is it just me or does it seem like the PS4 finishes the initial game install much faster than before?

in the past, it would usually take about 2-3 minutes for the initial install phase to complete. but since the recent update, it seems much faster - like less than a minute or even in a few seconds in some cases.

and the update files seem to download faster, too.

Welp, got my PS4 (Uncharted collection/Last of Us remastered bundle) at Wal-Mart with the Black Friday deal (100 bucks discount).

Haven't played UC2 and UC3 yet so they gonna keep me busy until UC4.
