this is just a PS4 slim the one with 4K and stuff aka the Neo is not been shown yet

I just saw in a pic of the side that they have the square, triangle, circle, and X on it and the square contains the optical port and the circle is possibly where the vertical stand connects to.

Ill be surprised if this PS4 slim doesn't have a 4K drive and HDMI 2.0 like the XBox One S.

Some months back a Chinese factory worker leaked details and a hand drawing that matches this slim model. The worker also revealed that they were working on a larger model (must be the Neo) and it weighs 10 pounds. The phat PS3 weighed 11 pounds. The slim ps3 weighed 7 pounds. The phat PS4 weighs around 7 pounds.

For those of you who who cared they added the 2 factor authentication in America to make accounts more secure and less likely to be compromised. Something that they should have done oh I don't know back when the PS3 came out in 2006?

Has there been any new news on the Neo in the last couple of months or so. I'm a bit out of date.

They're probably going to talk about it on Sept. 7th.

Oh right, nice. Thanks.

I saw this posted on Facebook, and while U doubt it's real, I thought I'd share anyway to hear some of your thoughts.

1. Button on the first layer, not second.
2. Light bar(?) together with button (could be bad translation).
3. 2 USB ports, at layer 2.
4. Disc drive at layer 1.
5. Power plug (that hole) bigger than OG PS4.
6. White logo.
7. Weight 4500g (about 9.9 pounds).
8. Apparently around RMB3000 (could mean $450).

frankly, that looks kind of ugly.

hope the actual design doesn't look like that.

It matches the drawing the chinese factory worker leaked. And that factory worker was right about the design of the PS4 Slim so its probably legit. I dont really care about the design. I just want it on my shelf at home.

So does anyone know if there's going to be a price drop for a PS4 soon? I have some money to get one and I saw the XB1s near me are down to under $300 while the PS4s are still at $430.

I heard the price drop for the XB1 was due to the new console coming out and I heard about some news on Sept 7th.

If there is a drop, it will most likely be announced at the conference next week.

yeah, I'd imagine a price drop of the existing models once the Slim and Neo are officially announced.

I do hope the retailers offer trade in bonuses for the existing PS4s towards the Slim or Neo.

one retailer priced dropped it already IT seems

PlayStation 4 Begins Clearing Out at $299 Price. August 30, 2016 . 11:00am

On September 7 next week, Sony will finally get around to confirming the PlayStation Neo. With about a week to go before the PlayStation once again owns the news headlines, at least one retailer is trying to clear out their warehouse of PlayStation 4 with a decent deal.

On eBay Deals a new offer popped up with a PlayStation 4 for $299.99 and with two wireless controllers. A PlayStation 4 controller sells anywhere between $45 and $60 these days, so not only are you getting $50 price cut but also a ~$50 bonus. This is probably one of the last few PlayStation 4 deals we’ll see until retailers switch gear to listing the PlayStation 4 Slim (and eventually Neo, whenever that comes along). If you rather wait for mainstream retailers, we suspect you’ll be spotting more $299 pricing starting next week.

Last week Groupon was selling refurbished PlayStation 4’s for the same $299.99 with only one wireless controller. Today’s console deal is in brand new condition with a decent (and functional) bonus. The cheapest we’ve ever seen a PlayStation 4 sell for in refurbished condition in 2016 was $252 back in June and that sold out after a few mere hours.

This eBay PS4 deal went live at 8:30PM Pacific today and is selling at a decent clip. Thus far 64 units have gone off the shelves after about an hour and a half. Word from eBay is there are 1,000 consoles available at this price, so at this rate the deal should last for a few days at the very least. Shipping is free and no word of tax is mentioned, even though the item location is in California.

I'd like it to drop to $300 in my area since that means I can get a few games to go with it when I get one.

The free PSPlus games were just announced. Journey and Lords of the Fallen. Glad they're more substantial free games. I need something to hold me over till October when Battlefield 1 and Mafia 3 come out.

damn. I just picked up Journey recently while it was on sale.

but Lords of the Fallen - I'll try that.

Same here for Journey.

Still haven't finished it though. I did beat Flower recently though. That is a weird peaceful game.
