Age of Ultron The Official Quicksilver thread

Someone suggested Alex Pettyfer for Quicksilver. That could be interesting. He can play uppity d*ck fairly well.

I wonder if they'll be able to use his suit and if they will choose the blue/white one or the green/white one. I prefer the blue personally.

It might be nice to use the green/white suit just so there's a little more colour variety among them. But I'd prefer the blue.

Agreed especially since we have so many members on the group that have costumes featuring the color red a lot, with blue being a second tier. We could use more green and black.

I don't know why, but I would like to see a Iron Man vs Quicksilver Battle...

McIntyre won me over after the first few episodes of him being the new replacement, I just imagine what could have been if Whitfield hadn't passed :(

So depressing to think about, when they showed him yelling 'I am Spartacus" in the end credits of the series finale, i teared up a bit.

the entire final episode had me watery eyed (damn ninja onions! :argh:), I hated that it had to come to an end coupled with knowing the historical outcome. Gannicus' final scenes were tough ones since he grew into my favorite character from Gods of the Arena to War of the Damned.

I was secretly hoping for them to revise history Tarantino style and just have the rebels win, but deep down i knew it wasnt going to end well for any of them. By the way, Gannicus would have made a great Thor in another life..lol

Kit Harrington

Kit Harrington is not a good actor. He's the worst actor on Game of Thrones by far. Plus there's no way he could pull off an arrogant cocky character, he's too doe-eyed and looks confused all the time. If you want someone from that show Richard Madden would be much more fitting.

I hope we see something like this...

(Apologies if the picture is too small. It's the scene from The Ultimates: Grand Theft Auto where Pietro runs so fast he dashes a villain to pieces and no-one thinks he has actually done anything)

It's probably best to stay as far away from the Ultimate portrayal of these characters as possible...

If they are going for a younger actor I think Freddie Fox (The Three Musketeers) would make a good Quicksilver

I saw him in 'The Judas Kiss' on the West End with Rupert Everett. He's very talented and I think he can play arrogant well. I'm not sure if he could play sinister but he's obviously talented so I would be interested to find out.

I think that the Spartacus character was the worst thing about the first season. Stereotypical good guy with little personality so Whitfield didn't really have anything to work with.

I only saw 3-4 episodes of the following season though (not the prequel one, that one I saw all of) so I can't really say much about the switch, but it didn't feel worse for me.

He was good as 80s popstar marilyn in that Boy george and Marilyn tv bio-episode.

His one of the Fox acting family clan which also includes the likes of Billie Piper, Jared Harris and Richard Ayoade who are married to Foxes.

I loved the first season of Spartacus, loved the interaction between Spartacus being thrust into this new life with nothing at all, making and losing friends, his whole Crixus relationship, and the arena battles. The 2nd season (not prequel) was okay, about 3 or 4 episodes that are really memerable, and Whitfield really becomes the character halfway through. The finals season is nothing but pure gold in my eyes, the new introduced characters and entire season was just so great imo. I'd definitely suggest finishing up the series.

I liked the first season too, as well as the prequel one. While I didn't enjoy the main character much (didn't dislike him either though) I think it had a lot of fun elements. I'll probably heed your advice and look up what I've missed since it sounds good.

the supporting characters are what really makes the show special to me, everyone has their own journey basically while the entire time banding together and fighting for Spartacus' vision of freedom for themselves and anyone else oppressed. Then add in awesome fight scenes and boobies and how couldn't it be an awesome show :D

Ah...lets get back on subject.

So speaking of theatre, Luke Treadaway is getting a lot of awards at the moment for 'The Curious incident of the dog in the night time' on the West End. He's obviously very talented, unknown (so cost effective for Marvel) and is quite charismatic. Marvel could pull another Tom Hiddleston by hiring him now.

I can't believe there's a good chance that Quicksilver will be in a movie before Flash.

I really hope Whedon wasn't pulling our legs; Pietro could bring a ton of cool visuals to the sequel.

Both the Treadaway twins are good actors. I liked them in Brothers Of The Head, Cockneys Vs Zombies and Attack The Block. One of them are in the new Lone Ranger film.

I kind of can. The Flash doesn't interest me personality wise but Quicksilver does.

Oh and thanks chamber_music I didn't know he had a twin. This thread is jolly good fun :woot:
