what the hell happened with the tournament? who was the champion? I mean, Chichi fought Mai, it lasted like 1 minute or so and thats it? then nothing else about it?.

Can anyone tell me what was the point of the freaking tournament?.

Just to take chichis blood? How the hell did Mai know (at that point) that Chichi was going to be in the dragon temple, to sneak in as chichi and steal the Dragon Balls?

What the **** was that about?. Does Mai has some sort of cristal ball or something?

How did piccolo freed himself?

SPOILERS:
The nameks tried to destroy the world? Oozaru is a disciple of Piccolo? WHAT THE ****?

I find it weird people are calling it a fun popcorn flick. I don't think it was even that. A popcorn flick at least has some good action and a straightforward plot. I can't imagine most people I know enjoying this, fan of Dragon Ball or not. I actually agree with the people who questioned what exactly the audience for this film is.

Agree with you bud. This thing isnt even enjoyable as a non-fan point of view. A lot of unexplained nonsensical bunch of ...... This movie shouldnt have been made.

To think I was going to watch this thing with my gf and some friends (who dont know about DB) in the movie theaters. Im glad I saw this, I saved myself from an embarrasment.

Rushed and ridiculous movie with a lot of unexplained stuff in it.

I insist, how the hell was Mai going to know Chichi was going to be in the Dragon Temple with Goku and the rest?. Because all the point of being in the tournament (unfinished tournament that we dont know what the hell happened after with it) was to steal chichis blood so she could become her. So I guess she knew Chichi was going to be in the "sacred" Dragon temple with Goku and the rest in the same exact to steal the Dragon Balls. How did Mai know this before hand?. Its like if im a soccer/football manager and I plan a match its going to happen in a year from now, without knowning what players are going to play in it, the conditions of the opponents players, etc etc. See my point? It doesnt make sense at all.

The sad thing was the way he FOUND the suitcase with the GI. I mean, it wasnt given as a gift or something, he just found that thing in the middle of the rubble. What an "epic" way to get his GI. You would imagine he would receive his GI as a reward for mastering something, but no. He just found it there in the middle of the destroyed house. What a stupid movie. Even that thing sucked.

It was enjoyable to make fun of. Everything happened so fast, I was questioning every single thing because often I couldn't make out what was happening. The action was really ridiculous, and really should have been executed MUCH better, seeing as that's the only thing it would have had going for it.

I was cracking up when Chi Chi says "I'm sorry about your grandfather's accident", as if he'd tripped and made the house explode.

But really, there were so many points where I questioned their choices, like the stiff aerial combat, and the choice of flying for Kamehameha, and when Goku landed on the ground, Piccolo's body should have landed behind him. If Goku could put out the fires to get with Chi Chi, why couldn't he extinguish the larger one to save her? The Oozaru part happened too quickly, the ending came too fast, we still barely knew the characters, and Ernie Hudson's character and Grandpa Gohan I couldn't help but chuckle at, because they looked TOO silly. It all kinda felt like Power Rangers, or at times Spy Kids 3D mixed with surf Ninjas.

It was an ok movie. The script was not bad actually, it just needed 20-30 more minutes of scenes would have made it a pretty good movie (the acting would have kept it from being great even if it had 20-30 mins more of scenes). The acting was not great but not horrible either. Thats all it needed tho to be good, 20 more mins of filler scenes.

Since no1 is using spoiler tags im not gonna use em either lol:
What really killed the movie was the pace. If they had kept the pace a bit slower, and actually explain stuff like how Piccolo escaped and other stuff it would have been quite better. The editing was just way too fast (I blame Fox here). A lot was left unexplained, even the ending was uncertain.
- Few more scenes to develop the Bulma/Yamcha relationship.
- Piccolo definately needed more screentime, to expand his character and develop it. Show his motivations more and his powers.
- Piccolo didnt really seem like a menace in the film. Since the pace was so fast Goku caught up to him in power really quick and you kinda didnt even notice and then the final fight was so quick u thought ''Wow Piccolo was weak cuz Goku pwnd him fast'' when in reality he wsnt it was just that u didnt see him show his power throughout the movie and hardly at the end.
- Yamcha needed a fight scene. He just needed 1 lol.
- The final fight had to have more to it. It was too short. What was there was great but it just needed a few more minutes of fighting and dialogue between the characters.

I noticed they deleted a heck of a lot of scenes (I blame Fox here) so I hope the DVD adds most of them. That should make the pace a bit better.
They need to make the sequel at least 2 hours long.

I give it a 6.5/10. The movie wsnt really badly made, but the stuff i mentioned took a lot away from it.

This is a very good review about this movie. This will explain a lot of why people are hating this movie:

Written by nekroturkey:

I knew before this movie came out that I wasn't going to like it, just because of how unfaithful it was to Dragon Ball. But before I watched it, I tried to give it the benefit of the doubt as a movie in general. I tried to watch this movie with a clean slate in mind, so I could give it a chance.

But even from a non biased standpoint, this movie is so incredibly lackluster.

I just got done watching the movie, and I'll try to mention my thoughts on it without mentioning the fact that it's not really a faithful adaptation. I will also try not to compare the movie to the source material, and will review it by its own merits.

The general direction of the movie is as the following...

Goku, a young boy who is raised by his grandpa, Gohan, goes to a high school where he is considered a loser, and is constantly bullied and he falls in love with a girl, Chichi, who is the girlfriend of the most popular guy at the high school they go to, Fuller, who incidentally is the guy that is bullying him. Overcoming the bullies, Goku gets the girl fairly early on in the movie.

There is a looming threat over the world though, as the evil Piccolo escapes from the Mafuba containment jar that he had been imprisoned in for the last 2000 years after wreaking havoc on the Earth, and sets in to motion his plan for exacting revenge on the Earth by using the Dragon Balls.

After the death of Goku's grandpa Gohan, by the hands of Piccolo, Goku must go on a journey with Bulma, Yamcha and Master Roshi to prevent Piccolo in succeeding with his plan to take revenge on the Earth, by gathering all seven Dragon Balls before him.

With the power of the seven Dragon Balls, they can summon the dragon known as Shen Long, and prevent Piccolo from taking over the Earth.

The movie tries to come off as campy, and serious at the same time, but it feels like an awkward transition between the two whenever the transition is made. Is it supposed to be campy with a side of serious? Or is it supposed to be serious with a side of campy? I don't know, and I don't think the movie knows either. It switches between the two quite often (such as Roshi's introduction to Bulma and Goku), and it feels very awkward and out of place at times. Unfortunately the movie rarely finds a good balance between the two, and you'll find yourself cringing at how ridiculous some of the scenes in the movie are because of it.

Piccolo as a villain, although I think Marsters did a good job as portraying Piccolo, just isn't that threatening. I mean he only does two or three "evil" things throughout the whole movie. They never really gave the Piccolo character a chance to shine as someone who could come off as terrifying and threatening. He felt more like a plot device to keep the movie going than anything else. Also, his intentions for using the Dragon Balls was never clear. At one point in the movie he mentions that he wants to rule the world. At another point, he mentions that he wants to destroy it. Typical bad guy attitude, to either destroy the world, or to rule it. Like I said, they really needed to improve Piccolo as a villain

The whole relationship aspect of the movie between Goku and Chichi, and Bulma and Yamcha is the very definition of the word "rushed". No one ever really bonded in this movie. I can understand if a movie tries to go for the "love at first sight" type of thing, but this is not that. All of the scenes when Bulma+Yamcha and Goku+Chichi are getting love-dovey, it just comes off as awkward and embarrassing. They really should have made the characters bond with each other more before they started introducing the relationship part of it all. That way it would have felt more natural when all of that happens.

Joon Park as Yamcha. Okay, this is a sort of 50/50 type of thing. While Joon has the voice of Yamcha down, the acting he does not. The only way for me to describe his performance in this movie is for me to put it like this... Joon Park has only been in two movies, and it shows. If he had tried a little harder, and not put so much emphasis on the "surfer boy" accent of his character, I think he could have pulled off Yamcha a bit better than he did. He had the right idea, but executed it poorly.

Rossum as Bulma. I think she was a good choice for this role, but I feel as if she was trying just a little bit too hard. She tries to pull off this tough-girl attitude so hard, it shows. Like Yamcha, she had the right idea, but it never really felt like she got in to the role. You could just tell that she was acting it the entire time. You never really get in to the whole "she's Bulma" thing. It never really felt like she got in to it, and everything she did seemed forced.

Fat as Roshi. Again, like all of the characters, he was trying WAY too hard to try and be Roshi. This guy is a great actor. I love watching movies with him in it. Like everyone else, he understands the type of character he needs to play, but he just executes it so poorly. He tried to be campy about the whole thing, and you can definitely tell. But it felt forced as well. It just never felt natural.

Chung as Chichi. This character really felt like the only weak link out of all of the main characters. Chichi felt more like a conveniently placed weak love-interest plot device to the main hero. She didn't really contribute anything major to this movie, other than being the love interest of the main character. Bulma and Yamcha helped Goku gather the Dragon Balls. Roshi trained Goku in the art of ki. Gohan took care of Goku all of his life, and helped train him in the art of ki and martial arts. Chichi... likes to fight? The problem is that the movie never really expanded on Chichi's character, and in the end, it came out as her being a really unrelatable character, as she is portrayed your typical love-stricken teenage girl with a guilty pleasure (in this case, fighting). She just conveniently appears in places where the main characters end up as well. Why does she like to fight? What does she find so appealing about Goku? These are questions that you never find out. You're never really told why she likes Goku or fighting, but the movie just assumes you'll accept it.

Randall as Gohan. A great casting choice and funny actor. He was probably my favorite out of all of the characters in the movie. He was an eccentric and wise old man, who had taken care of Goku all of his life since Goku's arrival to Earth, and had taught Goku martial arts and the art of ki. But he is a short lived character as he dies fairly early on in the movie. Not only that, but his death is just so lazily done, it felt like another weak plot device to keep the movie going. The character dies after the villain Piccolo kills him. After which, even though the character is mortally wounded, he stays alive JUST long enough for the main hero of the movie to find him dieing. In his dieing breath, he tells Goku about the Dragon Balls, Piccolo, etc. After which Goku begins his journey.

Chatwin as Goku. Right idea, bad execution. I could tell Chatwin knew what type of person Goku was, but when he tried to act that out in the movie, it just came off as awkward and poorly done. As cwhite12 once said, the reason Goku acted the way he did throughout Dragon Ball was because he had lived in seclusion with only his grandpa in the wilderness for his entire life, until he met Bulma. Goku in this version of Dragon Ball goes to school, and meets people other than his grandpa all day. So because of this, Chatwin has no excuse to act like Goku then, because the anime/manga Goku and the Goku in this version of Dragonball have lived two very different lives. So they should have two very different personalities. When you try to have the same personality for both of them, it comes off all awkward, and wrong. I hope that made sense. So to be fair to Chatwin, it wasn't entirely his fault. It was more of the scripts fault. Had the script called for Goku to act the way he did throughout the movie, it wouldn't have been as bad.

The story of Dragonball Evolution. The story felt rushed, plain and simple. I can't really put it any other way. I don't know why Wong felt it was necessary to only make this movie 89 minutes long. If he had made Dragonball Evolution at least 2:30hrs+ long, then a lot more ground could have been covered for the story, and the movie, overall, could have been more fulfilling.

-Why can Mai shapeshift?
-How did Piccolo escape the Mafuba container?
-How did the tournament end? Was that the end of it after Chichi defeated Mai?

These are only some of the questions that could have been answered if the movie had been longer. I also felt like they could have expanded on...

-Goku's origins
-Piccolo's origins as a Namek
-Mai's origins becoming Piccolo's right-hand woman
-The threat of everything. Like I said about Piccolo, he was never really that threatening as a villain. It never really felt as if there was a big threat throughout the entire movie either.
-The origin of the Fullum Assassin's.
-The origin of the Dragon Balls.
-Goku and Chichi's relationship
-Bulma and Yamcha's relationship
-The whole ki thing

Also, the ending. It was short and bitter. The ending of this movie just comes out of nowhere because of how short this movie is. The obstacles the heroes in this movie had to overcome never really felt like a challenge to any of them, as they just overcome it so easily.

Yamcha, Bulma, Roshi and Goku had to stop Piccolo from using the Dragon Balls. They do this in about ten minutes.

Goku had to, by shear force of will, turn back in to his normal form after turning in to Oozaru. He does this in about five minutes.

Goku had to come to terms with being Oozaru/Piccolo's disciple, and killing millions of people. He does this in about five minutes.

You see what I mean? It just never really felt like a challenge to any of them. It felt more like a small hurdle they had to jump over, and that's it. None of the characters really felt like they grew by the end of the movie. You don't feel better for the experience after watching the movie.

I just feel like making the movie only 89 minutes long was like the makers of this movie shooting themselves in the foot. 89 minutes was long enough to get the general story down, but it wasn't enough time to really expand on anything.

Some good things I will say about the movie.

-The SFX were pretty good. They weren't as good as I was hoping them to be, but they weren't bad either.

-The music was really nice for the most part. It had a nice feeling to it.

-The scenery in some of the places was really great to look at.

-There were quite a few scenes that I found to be funny.

So in conclusion? The movie made a lot of bad decisions, and was doomed before it even came out. Like Spider-man 3, it tried to cram too much in to the movie in a short amount of time. It never really expanded on anything, and so you don't feel anything for any of the characters, or for anything that happens throughout the movie. As a movie in itself, an 89 minute run time and a PG rating, you could pretty much guess this movie wasn't going to be too fantastic. Also, the cast of this movie was comprised of C-list and B-list actors, with only one A-list actor. Again, another determining factor in its demise as a movie.

Also, even though I said I wouldn't mention how this movie was unfaithful to the source material, I feel it should be mentioned here. Its unfaithfulness to Dragon Ball was another determining factor in its demise. Had this movie been more faithful, the fans of the anime/manga might have been more forgiving to the movie. But the movie failed a lot of the fans of the source material, and it failed as a movie in general due to it just feeling rushed, and incomplete.

If they do make sequels/prequels to this movie, they could learn a lot from the mistakes they made in this one.

-Make the movie longer
-Expand on what you introduce in to the movie, instead of just leaving it
-At least attempt at being more faithful to the source material

Overall, I would give the movie a 5/10.

Had the movie been longer and explained some of the things in the movie better (all of the stuff I mentioned above), it could have been 7/10.

Anywho, that's all. I hope my review was fairly non biased for the most part. I tried to not compare it to the anime/manga since that would be fruitless, since we all know it's not very faithful. If you have any questions about the movie, feel free to ask.

I agree 100% with this guy.

Watching it on YouTube....

First 3 minutes:
"Teach me how to get the girl", "I want to beat up bullies", "I'm a dimwit"

That is out of character for EVEN Superman
Hell the only difference between the blue boy scout and the orange one is that Supes is smarter (education wise) and more mature....

So in essence... they got an AMERICAN character wrong as well as a Japanese one...

It was one of the WORST movies I have ever watched or at least one of. It goes down in history in the same category as Street Fighter The movie, Street Fighter: Legend of Chun Li, Dead Or alive. Mortal Kombat Annihilation, Batman and Robin, Original Fantastic Four, Captain America 2, Blade Trinity, Punisher Warzone, Masters Of The Universe, TMNT 3, etc...

THIS WAS BAD FOLKS!!!!!!!

REAL BAD!!!!!

Goku was totally off. We don't even know why we need to care about him AT ALL!!!!! The casting was terrible and for a white guy to be called Goku the entire movie kind of through off the balance of the movie. Bauma was useless and cast very poorly as she had no clue of WTF she was doing on screen and seemed like a paycheck actress rather than a passionate one.
Yamcha was RANDOM. Everything about that character was RANDOM. Chou Yun Phat just looked like he was out of place and felt out of place.

The humor in this movie was flat. The action was so mundane. The Zack Snyder effect attempts were so squeamishly bad they had me cringing at every slow motion I saw. Seemed like they just tried to throw in signature dragon ball stuff while destroying a legacy. I can go back and watch an episode and see that chatwin is NOT GOKU!!!!! Piccaloo was PATHETIC and Masters was totally wrong. He could crush an entire building with his hand making a fist but seemed to have a hard time beating a guy who couldn't even beat his own grandfather???? WTF?? The movie was bad. How they randomly through in the origin story at the end...WOW atrocious. I knew this movie would be poisonous to the series and would be one of the worst comic book adaptations in history, but wow...not THIS bad. running time was a joke but thank GOD it's over.

The entire movie felt like a Parody of the cartoon which is a very bad thing to perceive when u compare live action to a cartoon. SPEED RACER did everything this movie tried to do but RIGHT!!!! Why was this atrocity even made??? I'm so appalled and want to knock out the **** face who thought it was cool to hire such a mediocre director for such an epic tale. WONG??? Get the **** outta here. I don't respect him for even taking the job. **** every actor who participated and everyone on set who worked on this ****!!!! **** you all. I'm so mad. Like SOOOOO mad. WOW!!!!

Goku looking like Michael Jackson in thriller with that bad stop motion type **** and horrible make up...good in the 70s and 80s cause we didn't have access to cgi, but 2009??? and we have worse special effects than E.T.???? WOW!!!!!!

Chatwin just looked constipated the entire time when he tried to pull off rage and yamcha didn't throw one martial art move the entire movie...hm!

This movie was so confused on what it wanted to be. Where was this movie based and what time and era? where in the comics is it based cause he's too old for DB and th puny for Z so what the **** did I just watch???

Kid Goku has a tale morons. I you're going to have Asian characters speaking their language in the movie then why did you go and change the racial structure and cultural ethnicity of the main character when we know he fit into ASIA with the orientals when he crashed on earth. What the hell man??...

Watch this movie at your own will and risk. Why did they make this movie for kids when Dragon ball is older than most of them anyway???? Dragon Ball is like 20 years old. Why are they marketing it to kids who don't know what the **** it is???? MAN!!!!!! Nobody who grew up with DBZ or DB will take this movie seriously so WTF were they doing? I'm disgusted and will spread the word of this Horrendous atrocity...

Piece of ****E!!!!! **** U FOX STUDIOS!!!!

Im with you Godman. The anger and fury I have right now cant be measured. I am still in a state of shock. This movie SUCKED. It was an attrocity as you say. It was BAD.

This ****ing **** is so dissapointing.

Call me stupid or idiot but im not watching another Fox movie for the next 2/3 years. Call me a fanboy or a nerd or whatever, but this movie was an insult to a series I love and respect. Therefore this is the only thing I can do, Im not watching any other Fox movie in movie theaters for the following years.

I think the "damage limitation brigade" are out in force :woot:

And I'm glad you're not the only one to notice the "2000 year old" plot hole. A hole so big you could fit the planet Jupiter inside with room to spare. When you have blatant inconsistencies like that the move does not deserve anything above 1/10.

:csad:
That's a review? If it is, it's a terrible review. It's more to me like a biased rant more than anything. He doesn't say damn thing about the movie, he's just bashing the actors. Terrible review, even if he's just a fan.

NO he's just being VERY honest...That's really what I took from the movie too...nothing good to say or even really waste time reviewing. If not a goodDB movie at least a good movie right? but nope...nothing at all in that nature. The movie was ****E!!!!

Oh no...you wait till wolverine, buddy, and you thought it couldn't get worse...LOL FOX don't stop bastardizing things. That trailer alone looks like ****!!!!! If you disagree just watch wolverine jumping for the helicopter...YIKES!!! FOX movies just have the WORST special effects dude. I don't ****ing get it. **** FOX!!!!! Instead of ****in with WB on Watchmen they should have been more concerned about this atrocity and piece of ****. Do you think Chatwin actually enjoyed his own performance? Do you think anyone who participated in this **** actually looked at themselves in the mirror and said...Yea I'm proud of that on my filmography...? WOW!!!!! I ain't never heard my mother cuss but I bet half way through this movie she'd even cuss me out and damn me to hell for bring this garbage into her home.

It was just about how I expected it to be. A fun popcorn flick. Not the worst film ever, but obviously not the best. My main critique is that it is obvious so much was cut. I hope there is a directors cut.

Special Effects - 8/10
Acting - 7/10
Score - 8/10
Pacing - 5/10
Action - 6/10

Overall I'd give it 7/10.

Out of all the rage I have, I needed a good laugh...thanks. 7/10...lol...did u mean 7/100? u forgot a 0?

Best dialogue....

Sifu (Chuck?) Norris: The Mafuba? It shall drain all your life forces
Roshi: When you put it that way. The plan sucks....

THE PLAN SUCKS?! WHAT ARE YOU 5?

I tried lowering my expectations before watching it. It didn't work. This is easily one of the worst movies of 2009 so far. This is exactly why I hate Fox. Tom Rothman needs to be fired immediately because he destroys every comic book adaptation he gets his hands on. If DB was given to another studio who actually cared to bring the anime to life, then we wouldn't have this atrocity.

Pros:

1. I did like Joon Park as Yamcha. At first, I was skeptical because they never showed his character at all while promoting the movie. I can see why now. He's hardly in the movie, but at least he tries to have fun with the role. It's too bad he was given more to work with.

2. James Marsters as Piccolo was probably the best thing about the movie. Even though he looks more like The Mask, he's down right menacing just like he should be. The only problem is that he's barely in the movie. He's truly a fan of DB, but it's just a shame that Fox had to **** with his role so much.

3. Some of the set pieces are pretty to look at and the score actually worked at times.

4. It was nice seeing Ernie Hudson onscreen again, but once again he's hardly in it.

Cons:

1. The high school stuff was TERRIBLE. It's bad enough that it took up almost 20 minutes of the movie.

2. Emmy Rossum isn't the Bulma I remember from the show. It's not the lack of blue hair that bothered me either. It's the fact that she came off as a Lara Croft wannabe. She was just there as eye candy. She looks great as usual and it's shame to see her in this mess.

3. Chow Yun Fat was embarrassing as Master Roshi. I probably would have taken him more seriously if he actually looked like the character.

4. The women who played Mai and Chi Chi were just more eye candy. Mai was a useless character that should have been scrapped altogether.

5. The dialogue was atrocious. Hiring Ben Ramsey was the biggest mistake by Fox. Lines such as "Hey GEEKO" and "I WILL AVENGE HIM" sounds like something a 10 year old would write.

6. What else does there need to be said about Chatwin as Goku? He clearly wasn't fit for the role at all and he looks uncomfortable most of the time. He obviously wasn't having fun with the role and needed a quick paycheck. I don' believe for one second that he ever watched the anime. We know Goku can be funny, but they ****ing overdid it here. Chatwin looks and acts like a dork throughout most of the movie. His facial expressions when he fights made me laugh a lot which I'm sure wasn't intentional.

Overall, this is a poor adaptation of Dragon Ball. I'm kind of glad they didn't include Krillin or any other characters for that matter. This movie has flop written all over it. It deserves to flop. If they ****ed this up, I don't want them to get near DBZ. I thought nothing could be worse than Chun Li, but I was proven wrong. I'm going to be generous and give it a 2/10.

The fight scenes were way better than Chun-Li but that was the same Asian baby that played baby Bison in Street Fighter.

You actually watched that movie? Welll I'm mean like in full? WOW. I commend you.

wait, I guess you could say the same about this one...yikes...how did I manage to not blow my computer up???

Oh no...you wait till wolverine, buddy, and you thought it couldn't get worse...LOL FOX don't stop bastardizing things. That trailer alone looks like ****!!!!! If you disagree just watch wolverine jumping for the helicopter...YIKES!!!

Riding on a car that gets shot with a rocket where the explosion throws Wolverine through the air and he stabs into the helicopter and takes it down single handedly is pretty badass if you ask me. Thats exactly what i want to see him doing.

Now thats out of the way... I'm trying to decide which is worse Legend of Chun Li or Dragonball.

- Roshi reviving Goku with a Kamehameha? WAT?
- Rather than channeling Ki power and energy into powerful beams, its called air bending and looks like smoke, I think they were checking out the wrong cartoon when getting their facts *cough*avatar*cough*
- no purpose for oozaru or the tournament
- ChiChi training at an ancient secret training ground conveniently when characters show up
- fullum assasins... WAT
- There were no real fights in this movie, they were all scuffles.
- Fights were so poorly done.
- Soooo piccolo and another sayain im guessing arived at the same time?

theres way too much to mention about how god awful this movie was.

You should check yourself into a hospital immediately if you feel that this movie is even the least bit good.

Why are you posting only negative ones, Dorky? That Japanese website eiga(?) has a total of a B (Plus or minus) from all of the reviews. Make your own opinions guys.

WHo ****ing gave this movie a B? I wanna know who they are and where they live...WTF??!!! They have to have been cut a big check. Anyone who gives this movie more than a 5 out of ten was cut a check and I'm sticking to that or it's the first and only movie they have ever watched and have had nothing to compare it to.

Yup that's it.

The concept of wolverine doing that is cool, but not the execution of that concept on film..very B rate looking if you ask me... very AWFUL!!!!! Now that's out the way...

The Avatar creator should sue Fox for this...wait is Nickolodean owned by Fox??? Oh well Someone needs to get sued...AIRBENDING????? IDIOTS!!!!

The special effects are atrocious....
Movies like this deserve the expertise of ILM

I hated the Oozaru... the King Kong size would have been ridiculous but at least they could have made it look like an ape version of THE INCREDIBLE HULK

Hell they could have replaced the blood moon nonsense with the simple Lycanthropy (wolf-man) thing they had going on in the original...

Goku: To be the one I must be two...

HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!
Judging by your acting... I am sure you are two....

I just saw this film and :facepalm:facepalm:facepalm, what a total disaster. This film to me as a fan of Dragonball is unwatchable. Its so painful that I just cant see how anyone can like this movie. The word epic and this movie are worlds apart. There is nothing good about this movie nothing good at all. All the actors are bad every single one including Spike from Buffy. This could easily pass of as a spoof movie of Dragonball, I cant believe they are tying to pass this of as viewable material. Some of the lines in this movie are cringe worthy, I am... Gocoo (As Chatwin would say) I am Oozaru to be at one with myself I must beat you.Other cringe worthy cliche lines spouted in this disaster movie are "Something my grandfather thought me, first rule is there are no rules" (Also the delivery of this line and many in this film are hilarious and just gawdddd awful). There is nothing salvageable about this movie there is no redeeming quality and anyone that claims so I am inclined to deem a straight out liar (No ones taste is this bad that they would view this film as good or decent)
Fight scenes: They are bad I mean really really bad, many might think I am exaggerating but I have seen better fight scenes in Power Rangers. And to back up my claim I would be happy to state which Power Rangers series it is, and that is Power Rangers Time force.

The Ki blasts where horrible, lets just say if I saw one of the Dragonball Evolution Ki blast coming at me I would simply brush it of as nothing but a strong gush of wind. These energy blasts are meant to vaporise not force push an opponent which is something that the cast and crew of this movie missed.
This film is in the same league as Street fighter the movie and the latest Street fighter movie LOCL, my advise to those who haven’t seen this film is to save your money and don’t bother. This is a clear sign of disrespect from all involved in this film and giving them your money is only encouraging them to do the same again in a sequel. Please don’t make this film a success and don’t let them further bastardize the Dragonball name. And in regards to my Sig, Forbidden Kingdom>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>.Dragonball Evolution.

Goku: Something Brad Pitt taught me. The first rule is that there are no rules!!!

Points for the reference

Riding on a car that gets shot with a rocket where the explosion throws Wolverine through the air and he stabs into the helicopter and takes it down single handedly is pretty badass if you ask me. Thats exactly what i want to see him doing.

Now thats out of the way... I'm trying to decide which is worse Legend of Chun Li or Dragonball.

- Roshi reviving Goku with a Kamehameha? WAT?
