Cant really answer your question there because this film is filled with plotholes but we can speculate. Yes Goku is the Oozaru from 2000 years ago because he seemed to recognise Piccolo and even followed his orders.

there could be deleted scenes or the original story had a different oozaru.

it would make sense if a different saiyan was on earth and transformed to oozaru. then in 2000 years a new saiyan is on earth.

OOOOOOh I see what you mean, Goku hit his head during a fight 2000 years ago and reverted back to his baby form, meanwhile piccolo was imprisoned, and grandpa Gohan found Goku and cared for the baby for 2000 years before he actually started to age normally again, oh and of course, gohan is immortal so no issues there... MAKES PERFECT SENSE.

The reason I stated it was Goku was because Oozaru seemed to know Piccolo and didnt have any problems taking orders from him. Now unless the want to say Piccolo has an Oozaru control power then we are led to believe the Oozaru of 2000 years ago was Goku, nothing about this movie makes sense but thats what I picked up from it.

Unfortunately they couldn't even get that right. Someone quoted the line Piccolo says in the movie and he refers to Goku being that same Oozaru from 2000 years ago.

Roshi says that Piccolo and Oozaru came 2000 years ago and destroyed half the Earth Piccolo was captured but no explanation was given to where the Oozaru went. Goku was the second Sayian/Oozaru sent to Earth I think Piccolo assumed he was sent here to help him.

this really had potential. an oozaru(saiyan) was send to earth to destroy it. since it didnt the saiyans send a new baby there. to finish the job. then of course it again doesnt happen. the saiyans know when the blood moon ends so they send their best warrior to see if its over. of course i mean vegeta. so vegeta comes to earth somewhere 1 month after the events of DB:E.
IMO this had really potential. to bad.

Well I somehow saw it... I'll post a review-thingy here before I go have a shower and leave to see my recruiter.

hmmm... of all the boards in the world I'd have thought this one would welcome something this ridiculous with open arms. The yamcha ass on fire scene is PURE DRAGONBALL. Goku eating the turkey out of no where, wtf, I'll take it! Maybe we're all too old for this now or something... But yeah if I was 10, this would be my favorite movie. Take your kids, don't listen to a bunch of whiny nerds online, parents. The kids will love this.

As for where it stands compared to other movies, I'd say it's slightly better than transformers, on par with spidey 1, (in fact, it's very similar to spidey 1 but doesn't take itself as seriously), No where near star wars, so don't even think it. Um, it's about as good as speed racer I guess. If you liked that, you'll certainly like this and ****.

Actually kids will have a blast with this movie. Transformers had a lot of wasted money "Hiding from Sam's parents" and too many human characters.
